Not too happy with the sofa. Have tried to persevere to get used to it. Would like someone to come out and take a look at it.

Product range is attractive and good quality but delivery charges are ridiculous. Lovely good value coffee table cost £79 to deliver. Would have preferred to collect myself from one of the shops but they only offer collection from a depot in Crawley

There's always something goes wrong when I buy from you. Last time it was quality ( you sent me a sofa which literally had a hole in it) and this time it was delivery. Why did you quote me a lead time, which is actually the date the item is delivered to you, not to me? This is quite useless to me. At the end of the waiting period, you have some furniture, and I have ... well, nothing. Which caused me to complain, which resulted in an explanation of your supply chain process, which i honestly don't care about, at all. Just please, in future, quote me a lead time for delivery like everyone else in the world. Then I will be happy and not have to complain about a late delivery.

Communication has been totally unacceptable ordered bedroom furniture some parts were missing nobody kept me updated I had to email them the fitter came back and one of the drawers is damaged and yet again no communication. Not very happy

I ordered a 3 seater Stressless sofa and stressed that there may be a problem delivering it. I was assured by the lady who took the order it was not a problem as it could be delivered in 3 sections and would be assembled on-site by Barker and Stonehouse own upholsterer. On the day of delivery (Monday) it came in 1 piece and the very nice delivery gentlemen took one look and said "it won't go through there". I received a phone call from the lady who sold me the sofa and she suggested that I hire an upholsterer to dismantle the sofa and rebuild it at my cost. I pointed out that I had already paid the delivery charge and was not prepared to pay for an upholsterer, I also reminded her that she said it would be delivered in 3 sections. She then decided to contact her Manager. When she rang back she asked if there was another option to deliver it so I reluctantly agreed that a window could be taken out, which left me having to source a glazier at short notice. I pointed out that as it was winter I would need a day and time for the delivery and to contact B and S to arrange which was to be Wednesday at 10.00am. When I had the necessary information I was to ring your transport department directly. This I did but was told, "oh yes we will be delivering Friday". By this time I was becoming really frustrated and told the lady "No you are delivering on Wednesday @ 10.00am" to which the reply was "I will have to check and get back to you". This they eventually did and the delivery took place. For all this inconvenience they graciously refunded the delivery charge. To add insult to injury I was contacted on the Thursday after the delivery to arrange delivery of the said sofa. The name of the furniture is Stressless but it was made anything but.

Delivery was about as slow as they could make it - then they had the bright idea of sending defective goods - I had to wait a week for someone to take a look , and although not fixed properly was better than it was before . Then some time back I was promised a partial refund of £120.00 which I am STILL waiting for . To be perfectly honest , I wish I had never heard of these people and I also wish they would come back and collect their goods as I am still not satisfied with the product - A Stressless Consul recliner chair & footstool £1286.00

Furniture lovely. 2 men delivered young lad was lovely but other one was hurling furniture in back of wagon and when I made a comment he had the worst attitude I have ever heard. Very unprofessional.

Excellent delivery drivers and very knowledgeable about the product. However we had to swap the original bed we purchased for a smaller bed to ensure it fitted the room. We were extremely disappointed that even after several phone calls the difference between the price of the two beds wasn’t refunded. As a customer of the store for over 15 years, this was without doubt the worst level of customer service we have experienced from the store

We had a problem with our sofa only a cover, over 3 months to get a replacement very poor customer service no updates we had to threaten legal action before we got some service.have been a customer for 25 years and never had anything but good service, we pay a premium to shop with yourselves so the service should reflect that. We are currently building a new house which will need furnished we will tread very carefully next time.

Purchased 2 dining chairs - when they were delivered the box was damaged and the velvet on the chairs themselves had been marked. Rang and a replacement was delivered the following week. When the chairs were assembled they wouldn't sit level on the floor and wobbled horrendously. Rang and told a further replacement would be sent the following week and the chairs would be ready assembled so this didn't happen again. Following week the chairs arrived - they were worse than the existing ones we had. Issue was exactly the same which was extremely frustrated. Rang again - this being the 4th replacement for 2 dining chairs, spoke to the Customer Service Supervisor stating how frustrating this was & the fact that the goods weren't being quality checked before they were despatched! Following week a further replacement arrived - 1 is absolutely fine but the other still wobbles slightly but had enough of ringing & complaining. Would have thought that somebody would have called to check to see if we were satisfied but nothing. Very disappointed with the quality of the goods for the price paid & will not be purchasing from Barker & Stonehouse again!!!!

Still waiting for my order. It’s due end of February. The communication has been very poor and I have had to chase up several times as to the update of my order. I’m disappointed it’s not here and I ordered it in November.

I recently bought a desk and believed the description online. It was nothing like the description and is a complete waste of money. Had there been product reviews, this would have helped enormously. Too much hassle to send it back so it's been kept. This puts me off buying onlne with them again.

Waiting for my furniture 19 weeks after ordering. Originally promised before 12. Compensated 5% of cost for this. Finance agreement was wrong twice, the first time noticed by the aftercare team, the second time I noticed it. Hoping the furniture itself is perfect because that is the only thing stopping me from cancelling the order altogether.

Furniture delivery rescheduled on 4 occasions as the quartz dressing table was found to be damaged on 4 separate occasions, so order cancelled.

Ordered 2 leather armchairs in Feb 2022 from new selection at full price. They got delivered in wrong colour and faulty. They resolved by reordering them in May, 2nd lot was delivered in Aug again in the wrong colour and one faulty chair which should not have even been released for delivery. Still awaiting a resolution. Very disappointed as I’m a repeat customer and have loved the style of all their homewears. Quality checks have dropped dramatically and unless you talk to a decent manger so has customer service. 😢

A little disappointed overall. Our initial delivery was cancelled only hours before it was due because the item was damaged. When a new item came 3 days later some of the drawer runners were missing - poor inventory control in both cases. However the two delivery guys ,Steve and Chris did their best to retrieve the situation and managed to source the missing items locally. Your delivery note states that you " ensure a smooth and stress free delivery experience" - that was not our experience. Your delivery and assembly charge of well over £100 is excessive and double what most other companies charge - for such a "Rolls Royce price it wasn't a rolls Royce service!

Waited 6 month for a couch which turned out to be the complete wrong couch. In this time I didn’t receive one phone call to get an update, which turned out they had the incorrect phone number for myself. It was good of barker and stone house to resolve the situation and allowed me to order the correct couch free of charge but once again didn’t receive any update and constant mistakes were made through the whole process. Quality of couches are poor also.
