Placed order for sofas, was originally told 12 weeks this then changed to 15 weeks, then changed again and again, sofas were eventually delivered, one was damaged, I had to phone up a third party to arrange for repair was told a further 2 weeks, phoned B&S complained, third party then came in 4 days, third party fixed it and said that delivery drivers had damaged the sofa. After approx 3 months stitching came loose on sofa, another phone call and photos sent another repair team out to repair. Poor customer service, poor delivery installation, poor quality, would not recommend.

This product looks beautiful at first but you cannot even split a drop of water on it without it marking. The insurance they provide does not cover this and when going back to Barker and Stonehouse after care they send you the ombudsman details to take it up with them.

I have had a bad experience with these chairs. Out of the 8 I purchased 6 have broken. The metal on the legs have snapped. However Barker and Stonehouse have replaced every chair but they’ve still broken.

Very poor after service.Sent the wrong scatter cushions.When my Three piece suite arrived there were two buttons missing Took 7 plus weeks to replace them All wrong information given by the sales man.I will point out it cost me nearly £3 thousand pounds Might I point out there is a very peculiar smell coming from the suite .Iwas informed that this would go in time.Probabley due to the foam cushions .Very very disappointed.

Very poor service, mix up with delivery date. Mix up with which store I should collect my table from. Send me to the wrong collection store. Asking me to pay more when I collected my table when I had put he full amount when I purchased the table. Harassing me for mor money when the balance was fully paid up.

Not happy customers. We ordered two sofas from the store in Newcastle, we initially declined the care plan but before we took delivery we called and asked for the care plan to be added which was agreed, when the sofas arrived they had not been treated for stain resistance and the delivery guys looked blank when we asked about the care pack that we should have received. I had to call the customer services and only after they had listened back to the call I made pre delivery did they acknowledge that I had requested the care pack. They offered an ‘untreated’ version of the care pack foc as they agreed it was their mistake in not adding it to the order, however this means my analine leather suite has not had any stainguard protection. And I still have not received the cleaning kit I’ve been promised several times. The last time I called their customer services and told them I was dissatisfied I was assured that they would email the aftercare company to see if my suite could be ‘treated’ retrospectively. This was over a month ago and I’m still waiting for a response and still have not received the cleaning kit.

The desk arrived with a lot of damage, including multiple scrapes and a very bent metal drawer handle which we cannot fix/bend back without snapping the handle off. The quality of the build is also not very good. There are nails protruding where there shouldn't be.

100% the worst sofa I have ever purchased, when we went back to the customer service they insisted that there was no manufacturing faults and the fabric was just natural pilling but the sofa was less than 2 years old and looked about 10 years old Just to top it off they arranged for home serve to come out to change some cushions and replace some studs so my wife took a days holiday from work and they didn’t even have the parts needed so it was a complete waste of time and a days holiday It is overpriced poor quality products I personally will never use barker and stonehouse again

I have had a broken lamp base delivered 2 times to my house. I was so badly protected it broke. Please invest in packaging heavy/delicate goods more carefully.

We recently spent allot of money on new bedroom furniture, it has taken months to arrive and one of the sets of draws has bubbled and blistered at the top, these draws where £500 and they offered me - measly £50 then retracted that offer and said they would give me a new top, I’m not very happy about this, they will have to dismantle the draws to do this!? Then 6 weeks later other draws came with the wrong handles and a scratch on the top, I now cannot use the draws because I cannot open them and I have no idea how long the correct draw handles will take to arrive. Will not be using this company again.

FIRST DELIVERY HAD TO BE RETURNED THE MIRROR WAS BROKEN. SECOND DELIVERY HAD TO BE RETURNED THE MIRROR WAS BROKEN. CANCELLED THE ORDER SEEMS THE DELIVERY DRIVERS DO NOT TAKE CARE WHEN HANDLING THE PARCELS.

I ordered a rug mid January, collected it from the warehouse only to find when I got returned home it was not the rug I had ordered. Numerous phone calls later the rug needed to be ordered from the manufacturer again. It’s now late March and the original rug still hasn’t been collected for return. I have had numerous texts/phone calls to say the correct rug is ready to collect from the warehouse. However it’s a 50 mile round trip to the warehouse which is why it was agreed that the new rug would be delivered because of the inconvenience and no fault of my own. I believe that someone is coming to collect the wrong rug this week and I’m still hoping that the new one will be delivered early April( 3 months after the original order!) every time I have called customer services I have to explain the whole story from the beginning, are there no notes in the system! I hope this rug is worth the wait!!!

Well the item was delayed , when it arrived and a fitting day fixed it was then cancelled as they wouldn’t have time to assemble. We were then given another date two weeks later. When it arrived it was damaged. So a new bed had to be ordered which caused further delays we bought the bed for the storage space which couldn’t be used due to fault . Waited ages again and she. It arrived they wanted to know if we could take apart the bed we had and we obviously said no!!! So pretty disappointed and no offer of discount in price .

Had furniture over the years of you but customer service when there is a problem is terrible dont want to know at all have to go to the ombudsman to get some satisfaction will not be shopping there again

I’m afraid not the best experience so far. Too good to be true that the wardrobes we ordered arrived 4 weeks before the estimated delivery date. When they were fitted they had the incorrect doors on them and actually were not fitted properly. We had ordered mirrors. These were not. I flagged with the fitters and were told it was not their problem and it was the best they could do leaving us with some packing to put under the wardrobe which as heavy as it is was almost impossible to lift to do this. I raised the incorrect doors with the salesperson to be accused of ordering the incorrect product and told her I had photographs of the product when I ordered it! No apology for this I was made to think they were doing me a favour. Then offering me money not to have the correct doors. Raising the fact that the doors were not fitted well and in fact were getting worse had an email saying that not to worry as these were being disposed of, suggesting that the doors running on a drawer handle which wasn’t being replaced was in fact my concern. Still not had replacement correct doors

I ordered a demonstration model set of wardrobes approximately £1600 when I viewed and agreed to buy them they had two sets of led lights and a charging cable when Delivered and fitted there was only one light and no charging cable ,when mentioning this to your store I was told that there was not two lights and no charging cable and they were very unhelpful,so for the sake of about £25 they have lost a regular customer who has previously brought beds settee and was just about to order stressless furniture ,unfortunately I won’t be shopping there again

Really poor communication. Item delivered to wrong address in January and still Awaiting the delivery. Phoned every Friday for over a month with nobody getting back to you. Said waiting on warehouse to get back to them every week. Very poor throughout process.
