“We were very happy with most aspects of our involvement with the store and our recent order which arrived in good order and on time. I did however need to phone to point out that a spare part (bed slat) was missing and yet was clearly identified on the assembly instructions. I have still to hear from you after 2 weeks.”

“Purchased 2 side tables, however they weren't in stock and had also been discontinued. Slightly poor that they were still being advertised. I received a very apologetic phone call and a swift refund, so I give their customer service top marks.”

“Ordered a distressed table lamp. It arrived before the estimated delivery. Unfortunately it was fitted with a two pin plug and the distressed finish was rather more distressed than appeared on the image with bits flaking off. Customer services were extremely helpful (hence 4stars) and it was collected the next day. The first time I have been disappointed with Barker and Stonehouse but was quickly remedied.”

“Bit of a wait for the cabinet but arrived on the day specified. Good communication with delivery team. Very helpful. Ordered to go with a set of furniture ordered previously but is a very different coloured finish.”

“Good help in finding the right furniture i was looking for, discussed my needs and flexible in approach. More than happy with service. Only observation is sales team slightly disconnected in different departments of store but other than that great service.”

“Generally a great experience. Staff incredibly helpful in re routing my order from delivery to Guildford store to Leeds store. Staff in Leeds store disappointing - not approachable and rather dismissive in interactions.”

“Good service when purchasing and excellent quality item, but took 3 to 4 months to arrive. Additionally after collecting the item, I kept getting “pestering” emails from Barker and Stonehouse asking me to collect my item (even after sending them an email explaining that I had already collected the item).”

“A first time experience- ordering any furniture online having not seen it or sat on it in person to really make sure it was going to be perfect. Pleased to say that the 4 Rivington dining chairs did not disappoint in any way. Very comfortable and look great too. Simple self assembly. Our only grumble was with the actual delivery process which is why I have given 4 stars instead of 5. The only notification of delivery some 9 days after placing the order was an early morning text saying the chairs would be delivered by courier and 2 / 3 hours later. A good job I was working from home. When the box was delivered there were only 2 chairs and no communication as to when the others would arrive. They were fortunately delivered the next day . Same notification by text approx 3 hours beforehand. Therefore whilst we are really pleased with the chairs - less than pleased with the delivery system.”

“Although we returned our items it was nothing at all to do with the quality unfortunately they just didn?t fit in the room properly. There was no quibbles on returning them though and customer service was great.”

“A very good service from orderng to delivery. Product is very good quality and well packed with clear instructions. We are pleased with the lights but wonder if the shade is too heavy for the stand, as both lights have a very slight tendency to lean. We are overall pleased with the lighting effect.”

“We really like our Edgar leather chair: they look well-made and beautiful. Ideally they?d have a little more padding, especially in the back: we do need a cushion to make it comfortable. However, we are glad that we bought them, and that sustainable wood was used.”

“The staff I dealt with were very efficient and helpful, I only marked down a point because I had a 3 week wait for my goods even though they were in stock and I paid ?29 delivery which for a 3 week wait I felt was expensive When my barstools arrived 1 was damaged but within an hour I had a call from B & S and a new stool ordered. The delivery men were also very helpful.”

“I love visiting Barker and Stonehouse, there is so much cool and classy things for the home. I have only just purchased a TV unit but will be back for more bits n' bobs for sure. The staff are very knowledgeable and helped me pick out a good piece for my living room. Some really unique pieces for every taste. The delivery was approx. two months but I was fully aware of that in advance, of course I would have liked it sooner but was happy to wait.”

“A great product which looks just as good as it did on the website and in the showroom. Staff were courteous and helpful and not at all pushy it salesy. The item took over a week to be delivered to my local store, but I was warned if his before I made the purchase.”
