“I was looking for a specific Xmas present for my Nephew for Xmas and BargainMax were the only ones who had it in stock. I had added my item to the basket, and was purchasing it when I noticed that faulty had appeared next to my item after I had clicked proceed. The item was not noted damaged before putting it in my "shopping basket". Once the transaction went through, I immediately emailed to ask if this was an error or was the item actually damaged. I never received a reply. This was on a friday morning, so gave BargainMax until Monday as it had said 2-5days delivery. The item was delivered very quickly, as it arrived on the Saturday. When I opened it on the Monday I discovered that they had sent me totally the wrong item and that was also damaged. I then had to phone the company and explain, the employee who dealt with me was polite but the only answer I got was I don't know why that has happened. So i asked if they had the actual item I ordered in stock - but they didn't. so I asked for a full refund and for them to pay the postage costs back as they delivered the wrong item. They also offered myself to purchase the wrong damaged item that they had sent at a reduced cost, but obviously that was no good. I then had to email a few times in order to sort the return out, I then had to take the parcel to a My hermes drop off. They received my parcel but I still had to ask them for my refund a few days after receiveing my parcel. It seems that they only sell faulty goods, so unfortunately I won't be using BargainMax again.”

“The scrabble game I ordered had two rips in the box. It was wrapped in bubble wrap however I gave it as a gift and only noticed when they opened to present and commented did I get a second hand one as the box was clearly sworn. I wasn't at all happy!”

“the item was a really good price , and I would probably think about ordering from here again, but when it turned up the packaging box was completely wrecked like somone had stamped on it . And the pop inside had a broken box which is very irritating as I keep them in the box. So I'm not really pleased”

“item came very quickly, also £14 cheaper than whsmiths, also got a message very quickly, when I queried my order, but when we opened it there was no blank tiles and the print on the letters were very poor quality”

“Product not as advertised, nothing on it was written in English, all Japanese and the battery was wearing out. This wasn't stated anywhere on the page I ordered it from. I am sure that's not even legal?? Will not be buying from you again, just lucky it wasn't a gift!”

“I have had an issue with the nerf gun that I purchased and have tried to email regarding this but as yet have had no reply. I used it twice and now it keeps jamming and has ruined two of the darts. I would massively appreciate somebody actually replying to me to resolve this issue. Thanks”

“Will probably not use Bargainmax again for the following reason. Delivery was very quick which I would expect as I paid for it! However packaging was totally inadequate and the item arrived in poor condition as the cardboard box was creased and damaged. As this was a birthday present I was disappointed so I contacted customer services. They asked for photos which I submitted. They gave me the option of returning the item or a partial refund. I did not want the hassle or cost of returning the item therefore I accepted the refund. And this was their downfall as the refund did not even cover the postage cost! As a first time customer of Bargainmax I was extremely surprised at this and next time I will use my favourite sellers Amazon which may be more costly but at least I feel confident the item will arrive in better condition.”

“Ordered 2 packs of UNO, which is a great fun game for every one, only to find the boxes of the packs being damaged, like it has been used over and over again, the pack of cards inside were ok and still wrapped in film. However 1 pack was mend for a present and there was no way I could give that as a present. So end of story, not too impressed with BargainMax :-(”

“Defective scrabble sets I ordered two sets of Original Scrabble - one for a friend and one for my own household. They arrived very quickly and apparently in perfect condition. However, it turned out that both sets were without the all-important blanks and in one set many of the number scores on the tiles were worn away or missing. The friend wondered if they might not be genuine scrabble sets? Hmm. I rang Mattel, who make scrabble, and they are kindly sending replacement tiles, but it was very annoying.”

“I had read reviews on the website about damaged packaging but decided to risk it. Unfortunately 3 out of 4 of the things I ordered arrived, not only with battered packaging, but also with their security tags on. When I contacted BargainMax the customer service was excellent - prompt, sympathetic and they offered a partial refund (or exchange or refund) straight away. So overall I would definitely use them again but wouldn't risk buying anything that I was planning to give as a gift in case the packaging was damaged again.”

“Initially I was very pleased to have found this website that had the items I wanted at cheaper prices. However I ended up having to repeatedly chase my order which was repeatedly met with a 'Sorry about this! It's on it's way.' Not an acceptable response to a faultless customer! My order finally arrived almost 2 weeks later only to discover one item was missing. When I asked the delivery men if there was another package left in the van they abruptly asked if the box was tampered with and told me contact the company, nothing to do with them. When the missing item finally arrived the same delivery man then accused me of accusing him and his colleague of stealing the missing item!!! Unbelievable!!! Part of my order were gifts which I needed for the weekend before they actually arrived and I was left empty handed going to Christmas lunch at our friends. All in all a totally frustrating, incredibly poor customer service response and the worst experience from a delivery company I have ever had. I will not be recommending or using the company again.”

“The pricing is great, but the game was not well packed and so when it arrived the box was crushed and crumpled. This is a Christmas present so we don't have time to return and change it. Disappointed.”
