“Good prices for sharp sand and compost bulk bags. I ordered four bags of sharp sand but ended up only using three, so wanted to return one for a refund when ordering a couple of bags of compost. They wanted a 50% re-stocking fee, which is grossly excessive considering I was ordering two more bulk bags from them. They ended up charging 25% re-stocking, for what was simply picking up the bag of sand when they delivered the two bags of compost. I'm pleased with the service and prices, but I resent the re-stocking fee.”

“Delivery arranged for Friday. Had a phone call towards the end of the day to say it wasn’t going to arrive and was I ok with Monday. Called on Monday around 4 and still no delivery no one could tell me where my delivery was. Showed up randomly on Tuesday.”

“I love this company. The products that I have bought, whether that be topsoil or bulk bags of decorative gravel, have been delivered promptly and placed wherever I have asked. The products themselves are also of great quality. They are courteous and also offer free delivery. They have been perfect for all of my garden projects and I will be using them again when I have another building project coming up.”

“Ordered turf which was delivered really quickly and of very good quality. I only needed a small amount and most online sites have a minimum order but AWBS did not so that was really good service. The turf is growing well and looks great”

“Brilliant product at a very good price. What a shame that the delivery driver was very unhelpful dumping the bag as far away from the rockery as he possibly could. He was very objectionable and rude and would not cooperate with the chap here accepting the delivery and totally ignored any request to put it any closer. Our chap here was phoning us to ask where we wanted it put, but the driver just dumped it saying he was is a hurry and 10 minutes later we saw him parked in a lay-by eating a MacDonalds.”

Like many businesses, we are experiencing unprecedented demand combined with national supply chain issues caused by the pandemic. Our staff are under a great deal of pressure and the volume they are dealing with means that it is sometimes not possible to grant specific delivery requests. We also acknowledge that on this occasion we have not managed to provide our usual high standard of customer service.
