“I purchased a set of bi-folds 1800 wide in pre-finished softwood from Aspire. The price was very good and I collected the doors immediately after viewing them in the showroom. The sales team and the warehouse team were very friendly and helpful, supplying me with some additional dimensions to ensure that the doors will fit. The doors were fitted by a FENSA registered fitter who commented that the doors were well made and easy to fit. I have recommended Aspire to several people since installing these doors. The doors were needed to sort out a buyer's query on the sale of my son's house and from contacting Aspire to completion was less than a week. Much better than the 4-5 weeks everyone else quoted.”

“The doors were easy to put together and took a lot less time than I thought. For the price I think they are amazing value and once in place they look fantastic. They also arrived earlier than the 5 days. I recommend to all to to seriously consider buying your doors from Aspire. Fantastic. Amazing. Great value Mark Pearce”

“Good customer service, good quality product. only just installed but seem to work well! Worth getting a good chippy as instructions are not perfect. Need someone quite experienced. But they were very good on the phone while installing etc. nice to talk to, good value, works well.”

“The service and doors are fantastic,from ordering the doors with Izzy to the doors arriving in a really quick time scale the whole experience was really 5 star nothing was too much trouble . i went for the sold oak vaneer finish i have attacehed a photo...I have never been so pleased and will defintatly recommend using Aspire again for any future projects. “I must stress my disappointment with Aspire Doors in their customer service following a complaint with their product. I purchased 2 x 4 door external bi-fold laminate doors just over 2 years ago and I'm extremely sad to say that they have shown signs of severe moisture ingress around the frame. I contacted Aspire to explain the problem but they informed me it was due to my lack of "maintenance" which they say should have included "keying back" the laminate and staining it at least once a year. Despite their website indicating that as I purchased pre-finsihed doors which had been factory treated and should last for 2 years prior to the need for maintenance, it was may failure to maintain the door which had led to the defect and therefore not worthy of a replacement. At no time was I given any information about how to "key back" laminate. When I explained to them about it only being 5 months after the 2 year recommended time frame for maintenance as indicated within their frequently asked questions on their website, they said this was weather dependent and as we had had so much wet weather recently, I should have known the doors would need a more frequent level of maintenance. My main complaint is that after only 2 years, although Aspire say I shouldn't need to treat my doors, I now have severe water ingress and they will not accept that after such a short period of time despite the weather this is unacceptable and are quite happy to blame my poor upkeep. I would like to make people aware that although a company will give you a high standard of service and delivery until they have your money, what makes a great company is their commitment to delivering and maintaining a good quality product especially after only a few years. I feel disappointed that a company can write unrealistic standards of maintenance online to ensure that if their product is substandard they can they blame you and fail to replace at their expense.”

Hi Elaine, We're very sorry to hear of your disappointment in our service, especially following our prompt responses to your emails yesterday. We do not say that you must re-finish the doors at least once a year from your purchase date, but that they should be re-treated after 2 years then at least once a year after that. Our maintenance advice is by no means unrealistic or out of the ordinary, nor does this mean our products are substandard. You will find the same requirements to keep your warranty valid across all timber door suppliers. This is because finishes break down over time when exposed to the elements, so regular upkeep is needed in order to protect the timber underneath and prevent the type of water ingress that you've sadly experienced. All external timber needs to be re-coated routinely to keep it at its best, whether it's doors, windows or decking. You ordered your doors from us in the middle of 2017, so unfortunately this means your bifolds have gone for over 2 and a half years without any sort of treatment or upkeep, including the incredibly wet weather that we've been subjected to recently. This is what has led to the water ingress that you're starting to see, not inferior product quality. You also live within half a mile of the sea coast, so we're sure you're aware of the increased weathering that those environmental conditions cause. Our customer service team explained to you yesterday that keying back simply means a light sanding before applying your chosen touch up finish. We advised you how to go about re-finishing your doors which, if done immediately, should remedy the issues you're seeing by stopping any further moisture ingress. This is something that should already have been carried out, so we've not asked you to do anything beyond usual requirements. As mentioned in the emails yesterday, if you need any further advice on how to restore the finish on your doors then please don't hesitate to ask. Many thanks, The Aspire team

“Decided to use Aspire doors to order my internal bifolds as some of the other cheaper options had some poor reviews. The price was still fantastic and the doors look great now installed. I have to stress the importance of checking your order thoroughly before your fitter arrives as there was some slight damage to one of the frames caused by the courier. However, when I called about this, Izzy in the office was more than helpful and sent out the replacement parts which I had the next day. Very happy with the product and the customer service. Thank you”

“We purchased Repute oak fully finished doors. Great price and delivered on time. They are good quality inc fixings and now installed they do look great. However, there is a health warning that is not apparent from the online blurb. They are NOT at DIY job. There is a fair amount of finishing ie routing that needs to be carried out by a professional. Our chippie actually sent them to a joinery shop to make sure they were finished correctly at some extra cost. I think that should really be more apparent up front”

We would always advise our customers to have a professional builder or carpenter to install their doors, as the shootbolts need to be routed out for. This can easily be done on site by a tradesman though, and doesn't require the doors to be sent off to a workshop. “I have just bought 2 sets of timber french doors for a local project from Aspire. The doors were delivered on time and are extremely well made and very sturdy. The associated furniture which was included in sale is of high quality and it was great to have fixing kits, choice of trickle vent colours etc included. Overall I am extremely impressed and highly recommend.”

“I don't normally write company reviews but Aspire were so helpful I feel compelled to. I was let down by another door supplier and called them on a Tuesday, requiring doors delivered by Friday as that was the last day that my fitters were available. Initially I was told that they could not deliver before late Friday, but then moved deliveries around so that ours were dropped off on Thursday evening. Great service and really grateful.”

“We actually visited the Aspire showroom as we wanted to see the quality of the doors before purchasing, the staff were very helpful and there was quite a few displays on show. Ordered our internal wooden 3 door bifolds a few weeks later, they arrived quickly - the delivery guy was very friendly and called ahead to arrange a suitable timeslot. I am a competent DIYer but asked a builder friend to install the doors, I am glad I did because, IMO - the instructions are not particularly easy to follow and getting everything exactly level and precise is not a simple task. The builder completed the job in about 7 hours but there were some tricky bits. 1. The inside measurement of the frame was not clear on the instructions, he basically measured the doors and added about 5-7mm extra between each gap - so our 3 door bifolds had 4 gaps between the doors so the internal frame size was 3 doors + 4 gaps (5-7mm) each. 2. Not clear how/where to screw the frame to the wall - usually you would need a few screws on each side of the frame width (not just one down the middle) so it does not warp. We decided to do this even though the screws are visible. 3. For a 3 door internal bifold door you should purchase 2 floor bolts. 4. The door locking mechanism/handle is magnetic and works really well. Be careful when drilling the barrel hole, there is not much room for error as the barrel lock is almost the same width as the door. After completing the job we noticed one of the doors was a different shade to the other 2, we emailed pictures to Aspire and they handled our concern brilliantly. Aspire did not hesitate to replace the different shaded door, even though the door was in the same batch as the other two. Aspire showed us how to get the batch numbers of our doors, they then called their warehouse and told to dispatch a new door from the same batch and make sure it was the lightest colour shade. New door arrived very promptly by the same friendly driver, we replaced the door today and are now waiting for Aspire to pick up the old door. The bi-folds looks fantastic, we shopped around quite a bit and these were the cheapest doors we could find. But they look and feel like they are worth 3 times the cost. I recommend Aspire for two reasons: 1. Quality of the doors 2. Incredible customer service We do not usually leave reviews but in this case we were so impressed with the way Aspire handled our complaint that felt compelled to share this.”

Just to address the small concerns you raised: 1. The key frame measurements for assembling the set are the outer frame dimensions, which are detailed on page 5 of the instructions. 2. Page 7 of the installation instructions shows you how to screw the frame to the wall with fixings 450mm apart along the frame jamb. 3. 3 door internal bifolds only require 1 shootbolt, providing they're fitted in the correct position as outlined in the instructions on page 8. “The doors arrived on the day as agreed and I installed them over 2 nights. Very pleased with the quality and fit although the universal fitting instructions can be confusing - would recommend throwing away any pages that don't apply to your doors before you start installation. However I would not hesitate to recommend these good value doors to anybody.”
