“Doors arrived on time and look good. 3 main problems: 1: doors advertised boldly as a certain size should measure exactly that size and not 10mm shorter to allow for frame tolerace. 2. Poor after sales care with a lack of urgency to return calls and email queries once the doors have been purchased. 3. Aspire do not stock any frame adjustment fittings/beads so had to source these elsewhere”

We make customer care an absolute priority, so we're disappointed to know that we didn't live up to our usual high standards for you. With regards to the sizing, the information on the product page states your product is 1790mm (w) x 2090mm (h), and requires an opening of 1800mm (w) x 2100mm (h). While we empathise that the opening on site was built to 1810mm (w) x 2110mm (h), regrettably we don't have 10mm filler sections available to make up that difference. “The staff are generally helpful but the product can be improved. I purchase an internal bi-fold door which arrives flat packed. The problem you have are the levels of tolerance and the instructions which are both poor. I had 3 carpenters look at the door and instructions and refused the job. I finally found someone who would do it and it took him 2 days. This product would have been much simpler to install had they come with pilot holes for the hinges and pre- routed sections for the door latch and stop bolt. The hinges being the key problem area.”

“Finish quality is poor. Glue and overspray on glass took hours to clean off. Three patches on the wood not sprayed well. Complaint made but no answer yet.”

“The product is fine and arrived at the correct address. I was aware that delivery was a two man job but had been told that I would get advanced notice of the delivery. There was literally advance notice of the evening before so as I live alone on a farm in the countryside this presented a problem. Both my son and son in law, and all friends work so need a couple of days to arrange help. The poor driver who arrived had to manage with limited help from me as I am 71 and not really up to heavy lifting.”

“Looking decent, but sadly do not fold fully back against the wall - we bought mainly for that feature. We now need to buy new hinges and refit / fix holes which is a hassle.”

“Had to add additional bolt to make the doors sit flush and straight- to much weight on the end door ( traffic door ) when left open. Bonus the glass is covered to make the painting an easier and tidy job. They do look good once installed but I think they should be sold with two bolts not one for a better finish!”

“The doors look fab however ,the glass is a bit flimsy feel. I bought the top end of the doors so would expect that all the fittings were sent through. There is a missing top panel so there is a gap on one side between the top end of the door and ceiling.”

Hi Deepak, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, although we're sorry to hear of your concerns. The glass in your internal bifolds is single glazing, as with all internal doors. Single glazing will not feel as solid as double glazing in external doors, as it's just one sheet of glass as opposed to a double glazed unit with two panes and a spacer bar. I'm glad to say that there aren't any fittings or a top panel missing from your set; the gap above the top of the frame is where your fitter has packed out the opening but then not filled the space. This process is normally know as "making good", and involves filling the gaps necessary to pack around a new door frame. This isn't due to a missing part of the product. “As a new customer and having my doors delivered incorrectly, it’s not the best experience. I was contemplating on purchasing outdoor bifold but because of the experience that I have had with aspire doors I have changed my mind.”

“I have bought 4 door internal by folding doors, When the carpenters came to fit it they identified the hinges were very poor quality and fixing screws were very close to the edge of doors. This hinges will not hold the doors for a long time, so I had to go to the kitchen supplier to find the quality hinges, moreover singe hinge doors also started to give away, the doors are touching each other when we close it. It’s hinges starts to become very loose in two weeks of fitting it. It a cheep product I would not recommend any one to buy this by folding doors for Aspire company.”

The hardware supplied with your set is produced by one of the industry's leading manufacturers, and capable of carrying doors substantially heavier than the particular ones you ordered. Discarding the included hardware and replacing it with kitchen hinges is no doubt the cause of the operational issues you are facing. “I ordered the 3 bifold internal doors, they look great except you need a carpenter to install as no markings and comes as a kit, the instructions are not clear and definitely glueing the top strip to hold the heavy doors dropped and had to be redone.”

“I’ve been a joiner for 27 years trained in a workshop and working on site. In my opinion this kit could be a lot simpler for the installer. Nothing is pre drilled, they don’t supply screws for putting the frame together and expect cover beads to be fixed using only grip adhesive (not supplied). Grip adhesive is good but not that good. They look good when installed by a professional but I wouldn’t recommend a diyer having a go. Also if you want the rest of your doors in the house to match they don’t do 2ft9 doors which is a building regulation on ground floor doors.”

“Great looking product and happy with my purchase. I purchased supply only via local trader. I didn't think I was as fully informed pre-purchase as I could have been and I had a few technical issues after installation which were almost impossible to sort out as the company would not deal with me direct and it became very frustrating to the point I got local tradesmen in to sort them out. Pre and aftersale advice could be better.”

“Doors look good , finish on doors not the best (paint defects) The fact that these are expensive doors you shouldn't have to router out for slip bolts I'm sure manufacturer can do this so it's a finished product,”

“Mixed feelings regarding these doors. The doors themselves are good, the door head frame is made from a cheap softwood. My main concern is the door pivot mounting bracket at the bottom of the door, this is very flimsy, and the screws supplied have already come out. These doors need fitting by a Carpenter, as some complex work is required, eg, cutting out for the shoe bolt. My other concern is the delivery, I had no prior warning, and all I got was a text from delivery driver to say deliver was today!!”
