“The plants arrived quickly in very good condition. The order was place on 15 Feb and arrived on the 17th. They are all beautiful. i think that the website might be improved slightly by stating below the picture of a particular hellibore that it is not available online rather than only finding out once it has been clicked onto for more details but this might just be a personal preference.”

“Plants all in excellent condition and would recommend. The packer was however a wee bit zealous and it took some time to remove sticky tape from the plant itself without damaging. Mind you would prefer that to damaged good so great overall.”

“I've gone back to Ashwood Nurseries time and time again because they have such a diverse, rare and exciting range of plants that can not be found elsewhere, delivery comes promptly and packaged superbly well so that nothing is damaged, the price and size of plants is also amazing. If I had one small quibble is that plants are often a little root bound, but I guess this can't be helped with the amount of plants that are on offer. I 100% will buy from them again, in fact I can't wait to one day visit in person to meet the staff and see the gardens.”

“I was very pleased with the plants but there was a delay in delivery caused by the Couriers being, allegedly, short-staffed. I had to ring the nursery to see what was happening and the member of staff I spoke to was extremely helpful, getting in touch with the Courier immediately to establish when they were to deliver which, as it happened, was that day. The delivery took place that evening, almost exactly 7 days after I placed the order.”

“All the plants were very carefully packaged and arrived in great condition. Some are already in flower but waiting until they all start to bloom before awarding 5 stars. Myretoun Ruby heathers are currently in very short supply and I am looking forward to seeing their lovely deep heliotrope flowers after some disappointment in recent years with previous heather nursery closing down. Hopefully will be able to order more of this variety again next year from Ashwood Nurseries and replenish diminished stocks.”

“Nice, healthy, good sized plants, carefully and efficiently packaged and delivered the next day. The only downside was postage cost, I thought it was expensive compared to others. I’d rather pay less postage and wait 2 days longer to be delivered. Or at least I would like to have that option. Otherwise great. Thank you!”

“The order was dealt with fairly promptly. The plants are reasonable to good for the money, all but one had a good root system. The e-mail referring to shipment was misleading, it didn't say anything about dates, times or who was responsible for delivery. I have come to expect the name of the courier or firm, the date of delivery and in most cases now, a time period when they will appear. I was surprised to find the package dumped on my back doorstep. I ordered some 'Silver Shield' as the website said it was a form of "crassifolium" but the label just said "hederifolium", not happy at all to end up with unknown hederifoliums, I already have masses. Also, the "confusum" does not look anything like my "confusum" that came from the first seedlings of the discovery from Northern Crete. At present it shows no sign of being tetraploid as does my original and again seems more like normal "hederifolium". It will have to change a great deal to convince me it is a tetraploid with shiny, glossy leaves. No flowers to compare. I cannot say if my package arrived on time or who made the delivery, as I had no information to go on. Four stars for plant quality and reasonably quick delivery.”

“The plants were of good quality, arrived in good order and were well packed. My only criticism is that I was given no indication whatsoever even on which day they would be delivered, and it was only by good luck I was in to receive them.”

“THE CYCLAMEN ARRIVED ON TIME AND WERE VERY CAREFULLY PACKED. THE PLANTS WERE VERY FRESH AND THEY LOOK GOOD UNDER BUSHES. I THOUGHT THAT MY ORDER WAS FOR NATURALISED CYCLAMEN WHICH WOULD BE EARLY SPRING FLOWERING. THE PLANTS I RECEIVED WERE ALREADY IN BLOOM. WAS THAT MY MISTAKE ?”

“It’s early days - the plants aren’t even in the ground yet, and you can’t really tell if they’re any good until they’ve been growing well for a year or so. But they were delivered very promptly, were packed securely and arrived in good condition, so I’ve rated the nursery at four out of five stars, and would probably add the fifth star at a later date if the plants grow on as I expect them to do. Not the cheapest of nurseries to buy from online but probably one of the best ones - I plan to use them again on a regular basis!”
