“Wonderful hellebores always delivered in excellent condition. My garden has a number of them bought over the years. If I have a complaint it is only that they do not show photos of the backs of the hellebores. Since so many of the flowers (sepals) turn down it is often the backs that you see more of when planted.”

“All cyclamen - hepatics ordered were of good quality !! Delivery costs however to my area are excessive compared to other nurseries I order plants from varoius location in England Rates vary between £7.00 and £10.00”

“Well stocked products in the various categories including advice on "out of stock" items Ordering is quite straight forward Eventually you receive a confirmation of what has been ordered.So far so good. However you never receive a delivery date. This I consider is something that should be done. The products, once delivered are good quality.”

“Top quality & absolutely beautiful plants. I've ordered from this firm several times & have never been disappointed. Plants also v well packaged to stand up to being transported to customers addresses. All previous orders of hellebores have flourished in our garden so I have no problem recommending Ashwood to anyone who wants to fill their garden with beauty!”

“The Hellebores I ordered were sent promptly and were in excellent condition when they were delivered. Packaging was very careful and planting and cultivation instructions were clear. I would definitely order from Ashford again - in fact my next order will be some hard to find Clematis.”

“On March 5th 2026 I purchased a Cedrus Atlantica Glauca on-line. Upon delivery on 10th March the young tree was found to be in very weak condition with a serious infection of "needle cast". Although this is not necessarily fatal to the tree it does weaken it and requires regular treatment over several years to eradicate. In addition, this fungal infection is highly contageous so, as a developer of bonsai trees I was highly nervous about the potential impact on my tree collection and have had to dispose of it as a result. Although the nursery readily refunded the cost of the tree, in my opinion, this tree should never have been sold”
