“A really traditional jewellery shop of over 100 years. Lovely original Signage. I have been looking for an Omega watch for ages We went into Manchester last Monday i had seen the watch the previous week and rang the shop. Spoke to Igor who i cannot praise highly enough. He gave me lots of information and was so helpful. Visited the shop a few days later and asked for Igor, again he was so professional and helpful. The watch needed a couple of links removing which was done for us to collect an hour later. Professional service fom the first inquiry to me walking away with my watch. Thank you so much to all the staff.”

He went above and beyond to make sure my experience was seamless, taking the time to guide me through the beautiful jewellery selection and accommodating every single request without hesitation. “I took my vintage Rolex watch in as the leather strap had broken. It was repaired within 40 minutes as promised and I wasn't charged. I have had the watch repaired here before and always had excellent service. I thoroughly recommend Arthur Kay.”

“Customer service is terrible for a start. I went in there to enquire about some gold I had. Spoke to me like muck & offered me half of the actual gold price. Complete rip off. Don’t take you metals to these guys as they will have your pants down. Totally day light robbery. The prices they have on there pieces also is an absolute joke. Stay away guys, plenty more jewellers In Manchester City centre”

“Prices are an absolute rip off. They offer you peanuts for your items but then charge a fortune for them when they resell. Do not shop or sell your items here - there are much better alternatives. You will find much better prices elsewhere.”

“Walking passed today and a piece of jewellery caught my eye, I wasn't out to buy anything but went in on the spur of the moment just to look little closer at it, It was beautiful the lady who served me Rose was helpful but not pushy, she was happy to be asked questions about the pendant, and took time to chat and we felt even if we weren't going to buy she was still happy to spend the time to serve us. All in all a very pleasant experience and extremely happy with the piece we bought. Thank you Rose”

“Absolute bandits and liars. They don’t tell the truth. My ring was sold the week before I went in but they didn’t inform me. When I chased the payment, I was told it would be 30 days after the sale but it was longer. DO NOT USE! They lie, under-value and are poor to pay.”

“Honest mistake?! (Unfortunately I am unable to post a review with no stars!) I visited Arthur Kay and Bro Jewellers today to sell 21 pieces of jewellery I no longer want, all 21 pieces were taken into the back room to ‘check’ the carat value on 2 of the pieces, when returned to me, on counting them there were 2 pieces missing, it transpired that 2 pieces had ‘accidentally’ been left in the back room! Also, whilst I appreciate that gold values fluctuate day to day and shop to shop, I was then lowballed on the offer to purchase all 21 pieces by £1200, yes £1200 compared to the first offer I had got from elsewhere only 30 minutes previously, no prizes for guessing that i swiftly left, returning to the first place to sell everything, who I believe would still make a tidy profit no doubt despite paying me £1200 more than Arthur Kay offered Seller / Buyer beware !”

“This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star but there is nothing less to select. There is something about this place that doesn’t sit well with me and I had a really bad experience with them but thankfully I managed to get my money back. I’m not going to go into any detail but would advise anyone thinking of going here to do their research and be very careful.”
