“I've dealt with Approved Foods for a good few years and overall have been very satisfied with the service - one is usually kept aware of order progress and given a delivery time window. I received the items in this ordered in good condition....the packing was a bit haphazard so dropped a star.”

“Food well packed and arrived in good condition. Unfortunately I item was missing.I informed approved foods who were very apologetic. As the item was now out of stock they would refund the money.”

“I have used Approved foods many times now and have found them to be cost effective and efficient. Their goods are always of good quality and it is interesting to try out foods occasionally that you wouldn’t try otherwise.”

“I received my first order and I am very happy with what I have been given. There is far more items than I thought all arrived in good condition and at least 90% of the order will be used by myself. Will order again.”

“I have used Approved Foods for a few years now. I don't order very often but appreciate its service when I do. I've noticed changes in their products over the years, there are fewer raw ingredients for sale and more processed foods - things that I don't buy. Consequently my purchases have become less frequent, I'll only place an order when I can get what I want at a good price (ie lower than at Aldi or Lidl). I'm usually very satisfied with what I do buy though and the delivery service is excellent, especially since they have lowered the delivery charges.”

“The delivery is very good and for the weight of the parcel, it is fantastic. The only problem that I have withe them is that the prices seemed to have gone up in the last year or so on the whole, otherwise they would have five stars from me.”

“Some very decent bargains from time to time and always worth a check every week or so to see if there's something good. I do wish, though, that they would find a courier that isn't spectacularly useless.”

“I like the concept of not wasting food that is still perfectly good for consumption. However, my orders have twice had substandard items in. On one occasion l received two sealed packets that had been opened and were below weight. On another occasion the food was almost a year older than the date advertised and the packet was very battered and dirty. On each occasion Customer Services have refunded my money. However, I am now quite cautious about what I buy and whether it is likely it could have been tampered with.”

“First time ordering from these and I have to say they are good.. Okay you have a minimum amount,to spend as with other places for online food shops. And the postage and packaging was great as was a trial so was half price. A lot of stuff for the price, compared to RRP and other supermarkets. I will be ordering from Approved Foods again in future.”

“Getting better at packing goods well to prevent damage, now need a better delivery service who don't fling boxes around & carry upside down, leaving very well packaged glass bottles smashed & leaking coke all over everything else.”

“I love the fact there is a variety of different items on the site, and that there is new stock daily. A lot of items on the website, are things that I would usually buy anyway so that's great. I like to order the boxes of food because it's like a nice surprise when you open it as you dont know exactly what you're getting. Some things in the boxes, are not to my taste, but usually its 95% things I do like. The time between ordering and delivery is very quick, and lastly, although not in date, the food tastes great!”

“Excellent products at great prices but I do have one complaint - when you put items in your basket they should be saved until you go to pay for them - last Sunday I went to pay but then was told several items were out of stock & as a result I was below the minimum spend - as a result I gave up & didn't place an order. So if this problem can be resolved I will remain a loyal customer - so if an item is out of stock that sho8luld be flagged when you go to put it in your basket not when you are about to pay.”
