“A rare opportunity to purchase cheap, albeit out of date, food. One item, namely red dried fusilli, had a BBF date of 05.07.25 so 3 months out of date which for me was a bit too long but I used that first and it was fine, as was everything else. The temptation is to go mad on the chocolate and eat too much. Make sure you buy items that you will use and not just because they are on offer. I may order from them again and would recommend. Delivery was reasonable.”

“Approved food is great, my only issue with it (and that's why I don't order much), is that you have to be at home to receive the parcel and you can't even ask to pick up from a parcel shop.”

“Good to help reduce food waste, interesting selection of products. My first delivery took 6 weekdays to arrive and then was left on doorstep right under a sign saying "please put in parcel box -->" 1 meter away, which was frustrating. However, the food is all good, just some lighter things a bit crushed. Packing could be improved by putting tins underneath crisps & marking a right way up. Appeared to have all been thrown into the box randomly. Possibly shaken about during delivery too. Glad to see you reuse boxes. Would advise other customers to read the product sizes when you order as some products are single servings when you might expect a larger packet. I have made a second order.”

“Good choice of products, website can be slow and clunky, delivery is now slower than previous i expect due to the popularity and expect 6/7 days for arrival for point of order. Still a good site and when i have had to contact customer service swift resolution was provided. Latest delivery was superbly packaged and a vast improvement of previous 'heavy' delivery boxes, hence no damages. will continue to use”

“I was happy to find Approved Food about 2-3 years ago, and used them quite a lot. Incredible bargains, and no problems at all with passing the self-by (obviously arbitrary) dates at all. My only recent disappointmen recently was when I found (my own fault) that my slow brain finds it difficult now to navigate their website. (If you simpilify it I would love to return).”

“I would probably order more often if there was either a lower minimum order value or none at all. It took a week for the order to reach me. I ordered on 5th and it was delivered on 12th, which in these days, is a long time. As there is a delivery charge, you have to weigh up whether you are actually saving anything on the order.”

After looking into this, I can see that around the time your order was placed was a very busy time for both us and our couriers, so delivery took a bit longer than usual. I can assure you this isn't the norm for us and we usually aim to have orders dispatched and delivered within 3-5 working days of an order being placed.
