“Website was down so placing and order was a bit of a nightmare but customer service was good and items arrived in a timely manner and I was happy with them. I regularly use this website and am never disappointed with my items. Would recommend.”

“Vast selection of food, drinks, household goods etc at cheap prices, some items just past sell by date but perfectly fine to eat or drink. Delivery is a bargain at £3 for up to 25kg.”

“We have used Approved Foods on and off for many years and have never had a bad result. Our latest order was no exception - lots of yummy chocolate, and all in excellent condition despite being beyond the best-before date. The prices were unbeatable, as usual, and delivery was quick. I can't comment on customer service, as I have never needed to contact them. Overall, a great company to deal with.”

“They send out damaged goods and then are reluctant to refund properly. Beware lucky dip. Who is going to 1.5kg bulk bag of coffee mate or bulk box of plastic miniature milk portions.”

“Had some real bargains from these people. Most stuff is great, but not everything ages well, but that's not the companies fault - it just means more careful selection and using items quickly. I have bought from here a few times and will continue to do so and, on balance, it's a very positive experience. Happy to recommend.”

“First time using Approved foods. An excellent selection in the £1 lucky box, definitely get your monies worth. Only thing that went in the bin was the mayonnaise as it was over 18 months out of date, not fussy about out of date stuff, but not with eggs. The rest of my selection was excellent though. The Ferrero Rocher for£2 was a year out of date, but honestly couldn't tell the difference,same with the rest of my order. Fantastic value and fast delivery. Loose a star though as I live in the Highlands. The £9 delivery takes a big chunk of your savings, when the rest of the country get it for £3. There are plenty of couriers that deliver up here at no extra cost on the understanding that it will take longer. Puts me off a little from ordering. Apart from that it's a great idea, too much waste in the world that's perfectly edible.”

“I have always been satisfied with my orders however I have started to get missing items which is no big deal as price is cheap but the Lilys kitchen dog food I ordered was open package so was not happy as paid full price. I am going to wait and try elsewhere for my next orders”
