“I used to use another online supermarket that sent abroad, but the prices were so ridiculously high that an order would be a treat 2 or 3 times a year. Since seeing Approved Food on Dragons Den I have placed a decent sized order most months, and save a fortune, even compared to buying locally, even taking delivery into account. The occasional problem that has cropped up has been sorted with a quick email, usually resulting in an account credit.”

“For over 3 years I have made regular purchases and received many good bargains. Some items on offer though are far cheaper at the supermarket but overall there is value to be had, particularly with the lucky boxes and other bargain boxes which are available from time to time. There are many unusual things to buy which often are not seen elsewhere. Any discrepancies with purchases are very quickly rectified.”

“A great range of bargains, and a great waste-saving idea. Takes some work to research product ingredients, since information on the site is limited. Most of their vegan products aren't tagged as vegan, so it's best to hunt through the much bigger 'vegetarian' list for those. Make sure you're logged in to be given 30 minute grace period to buy things or you'll have to remove a lot of things from your shopping basket when someone else gets them first. And best not to use more than one tab when shopping, or you can accidentally block yourself from being able to purchase things :-/. The 'good' rating is because the idea and the bargains are worth it despite the web site quirks.”

“Good value products, and some absolutely brilliant ones. Good that short dated foods are not wasted. Terrible website, but worth making the effort. Rather unpredictable delivery arrangements from the logistics services (but deliveries always turn up). But good customer services from Approved Foods themselves. I have recommended to friends already.”

“Lots of products at bargain prices. New stock in daily and delivery is fast. Slightly excessive packaging but everything does arrive intact. Had some issues with an order but customer care do always respond via email after a few days and did correct the error.”
