“I used Alcott’s to survey a house I was planning to buy, they were very thorough in their inspection whilst also being reasonably priced (I’d gotten some very expensive quotes from other surveyors which felt a little unrealistic). They recommended a full building survey based off of the age of the property and I’m glad they did as they were able to find structural issues that would’ve cost me a lot of money to fix had i gone ahead with the house purchase. Obviously I was gutted to not be moving ahead with the house but not as gutted as I’d have been if I’d found these things out later! I have recommended Allcotts to friends of mine that are also currently looking to buy.”

“There were plenty of useful comments and advice which confirmed my opinions of the poor quality of my new garage roof, which was causing damage to the existing timbers which were constantly wet. Prior to the survey the roofers did not take my complaints seriously, the survey helped. I was also able to ask questions of the surveyor after receiving my survey, and was able to decide what to do next.”
