I used Alcott’s to survey a house I was planning to buy, they were very thorough in their inspection whilst also being reasonably priced (I’d gotten some very expensive quotes from other surveyors which felt a little unrealistic). They recommended a full building survey based off of the age of the property and I’m glad they did as they were able to find structural issues that would’ve cost me a lot of money to fix had i gone ahead with the house purchase. Obviously I was gutted to not be moving ahead with the house but not as gutted as I’d have been if I’d found these things out later! I have recommended Allcotts to friends of mine that are also currently looking to buy.
