“good service received from 121 car hire. However Avis has charged me for insurance I did not request/need and did not explain it to me at time of collecting car at airport. their office was busy at the time and I wonder how many other customers they duped this way. I had prebooked excess insurance through Questor and 121 carhire so would never have needed the insurance Avid have charged me for. I have complained to Avis but tto date have received no reply. I will take matters further shortly if no reply received.”

“Price good, car fine but still the sales hype regarding excess insurance! When you say you don't want it the negative threats come out eg. We won't come out to you if you break down!! You won't get a replacement car brought to you, you have to fetch it, you are too far away etc. Or, you will be charged for towing in!
Why not put a box on the order you send through to Firefly or whoever, that the client can tick to say they have their own excess insurance.”

“The on line booking is quick and easy and though the location is a bus ride away at the Hilton hotel and not in the airport, you can always have a coffee there while you wait. Best of all is the price - excellent value.”
