The car I was given was totally accurate to what I had booked and justified the confidence I had placed in 121 to honour the information provided when I was booking. “I had visited the Algarve several times and used many different car hire companies each time. I can't say I had ever had bad service firm any of them, but this time, I came across 121carhire and found their website was easier to follow with a great choice of cars and, importantly, full details of what your getting and what extras are available with the costs clearly identified - this is very important to know exactly what you will need to pay when you pick up a car as I had been unpleasantly surprised in the past with "hidden extras". Booking the car couldn't be simpler or safer - once the car was selected, we paid on-line via a secure website. Shortly after, I received confirmation in an email, and within hours, I received my voucher, also by email, to print out and take with us. On arrival at Faro airport, we trundled our cases to the pick-up area and were greeted by a very friendly, helpful lady who asked for my voucher, driving licence and passport; she then completed the details, asked what extras we would like (if any), gave us full instructions on how, when and where to return the car, handed over the keys and bid us a pleasant holiday. We opted for use of the toll motorway which incurred a small additional outlay for the transponder hire and some prepayment for the tolls - we were aware of the requirement and cost from the excellent website at the time of booking. The complete collection process was completed with the least hassle we had ever experienced.
The car was modern, very clean, filled with petrol, so, ready to go once the luggage was stowed away. The car performed excellently throughout our hire period, but we had been given a number for road assistance if we had needed it - peace of mind. We returned the car at the allotted time where it was checked over and made sure we hadn't left any of our belongings behind.
All in all, it was a very simple and safe process to choose and pay for the car via the 121carhire website, and the customer service at the time of pick-up and return was first class. On top of all that, the total cost of the car hire was significantly less than the nearest competitor car hire company!

“Everything was fine except that Hertz Preston's location is £15 (25 minutes) by Taxi each way from the Town Centre - this wasn't apparent when booking. The additional cost completely distorted the Hire price and made it very expensive in cost and time.”
