“Overall, the course provided useful information and covered many important teaching concepts. However, I found that many of the videos were unnecessarily long, especially the classroom interaction examples. There was a very strong focus on eliciting answers from students, but in reality this approach only works well when students already have a relatively high level of English proficiency. I also found the online teaching assignments excessively long and time-consuming. Since I am not interested in teaching online, I think online teaching should be offered as a separate optional module rather than being a major part of the course.”

“Thank you for the course! I really enjoyed it and have already implemented the methods in my lessons. The course talks about methodology and structure of a lesson, but doesn't really cover the structure of a course. How often should I review the material with my students? Do my students need tests, and do we do them in class? I think the course content would benefit from answering these questions. One more thing I'd change about the course is the tests. Most of the times the answers are obvious and don't check understanding. I really liked the assignments though! The tutor's feedback was very comprehensive and useful.”

“I found the course to be comprehensive and well presented, though I felt that the tutors in the classrooms could have been given better resources. Having said that, though, I pursued adult education when I lived in London and they had the same restrictions. In retrospect it showed how to conduct a class with minimal resources. The students were a good mix of levels which highlighted how to work with different types of students. My tutor, Arthur, was always helpful and easy to contact, replying to any queries promptly, given the time difference (I live in Australia) and giving helpful feedback.”

“I really enjoyed taking this online TEFL course. The lessons were easy to follow, and the platform made it simple to move through each module at my own pace. I learned how to plan lessons, teach grammar and vocabulary, and manage different types of classroom activities. What I liked most was that the course gave a lot of examples. Seeing sample lesson plans and activities helped me understand how to create my own. The quizzes and assignments also helped me check my understanding as I went along. Overall, this course gave me the confidence I needed to start teaching English. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a flexible and helpful TEFL certification program”

“Good communication from tutors. Assignments were marked very promptly. Good guidance for assignments. Great you can take the quizzes more than once as I find this a helpful way to learn. Great you can look back at any part as often as required. Really liked that videos were supplemented by transcripts. Good prompts re deadlines approaching. I didn't enjoy online learning as much as I expected but it was convenient.”
