I got a new job which gave me a company car to use excluding perosonal usage. I phoned up vavista to make the ammendments and I also added my pass plus certificate onto my premium. When checking quotes online I was getting a lot lower prices than what I am currently paying... When discussing this with the agent on the phone and making my ammendments, instead of my policy going down as I am using my car less and have the additional driving course added onto it, the policy went upwards instead. I was told I could cancel the policy and redo a new one however that will have a seperate charge of £220 to do so. So now I am stuck paying more money for a car I use a lot less which makes absaloutely no sense to me what so ever. the agent was 0 help and from her tone of voice I could tell she didnt really care or offer me much advice or even help with this matter. I would not recommend this insurance company to anybody, they just want your money and have 0 care when it comes to dealing with their customers. I even told the agent on the phone I was going to leave negative reviews of the company online, and she shrugged it off, so they clearly do not care for the company they work for neither. if I could give them part of the 1 star I gave them I would!!!

For several years, I have been a customer of Vavista, formerly Debenham. Until today, I had two cars, a VW Polo and a Peugeot 407, insured with this company. A few weeks ago, the Peugeot 407, broke down. I decided to buy a new one. Today the transaction took place and I became the owner of the third car, the Peugot 508. I decided to transfer my policy from 407 to 508. During the change on the Vavista website on the Internet, there was information about the need to call a consultant. During the conversation, I gave the Peugot registration number 407 and asked for a policy change to 508. I made the payment (almost £ 300), agreed to the amount to transfer the policy seamlessly. What was my surprise when it turned out that my policy had been transferred from the VW Polo (working) to the P 508. I paid £ 300, lost my Polo insurance, and was left with insurance on the broken car that I wanted to scrap. I called again and..."I can't have two cars on one policy and I have to insure my Polo again". What about the Peugeot 407? Should I pay 3 insurance for two cars? Until yesterday, I would give 5 stars, today I give one because you cannot zero. Avoid this company

On to my third attempt to call their customer service regarding my renewal, second attempt was 20 minutes on hold to be rung off and disconnected, what a great customer service, and at 20p a minute, not happy. My third attempt is currently at 11 minutes 38 seconds. The policy was changed from Debenhams, and the renewal was over £100 more than the cheapest quote. I can't talk to them, because I'm constantly on hold, so I won't be renewing with them, nor would I recommend them to anyone. I can't even find any online contact through the website or customer portal. Very poor indeed.

This company stole extra money from my account. When I challenged them they basically refused to refund me the £200 taken. Despite evidence! And told me it’s not their problem as I used a comparison website to take out my policy. So I requested to cancel which again they wanted to charge me, even though my policy had not started. Took them 2 weeks to cancel my policy. I have spoken to over 7 advisors, who fobbed me off daily. The only person who managed to help me and get this resolved was Chris from the complaints department. After being told for 2 weeks to wait and basically stop calling, when trying to get my money back. Spoke to Chris this morning and had got a refund the same day. So thank you Chris! The rest of the staff I spoke to such as Tiffany and Sphe are useless. RUDE and have 0 customer service skills. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone, 2 weeks of hassle, TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK! They ignored my emails also. So avoid spend and little extra and go with a company with a good reputation. As I can only imagine the headache if you need to make a claim.

I am 52 yrs old, drove a car since the age of 17, and this has to be the worst insurance company, I have ever experienced. The worst of the worst. Stay away

Disappointing Both of my cars were insured from Vavista Car Insurance. I sold one of my cars and naturally I called Vavista customer service and asked them to cancel the insurance of my sold car. Yesterday I learned that the insurance of my other car was also cancelled. When I learned this, I was shocked and called Vavista customer service. They said there was nothing they could do about this issue. .

doubled my policy price this year despite no change in circumstances or any claims. Only stayed with these as other companies are just as bad.

STAY AWAY Worst broker out there semt in the wrong documents for my partnee thought they wanted photo of licence they wanted the dvla summary, partner has learning difficulties and didnt realise this after them requesting the docs they didnt chase again not even a phone call, then one day randomly send me a text saying my insurance is cancelled, called them up that evening said cant do anythibg unless i provide the summary, couldnt do it on the DVLA as the government site didnt work as it was down... I will never use these again cancellation fees are ridicuolous nearly have as much as the policy...

Avoid this company!! Long and short of it is that I rang at 6.50pm last Friday to change the vehicle on my policy. The guy answered then said he would put me on hold for a minute to check my details (why on hold to check my name and address??) Then 10 minutes later, he came back and started to say that he was unable to hear the phone call! Then funnily enough hung up... I finally reached them today and after (on a recorded phone call) the change of vehicle had gone from £88 extra over the year to £201! They now want almost £800 to cancel the policy, so I am having to take this to ombudsman. I am asking to cancel the policy as I can get the same car insured for half the price with Go Skippy. The call center is based abroad and to be honest, I could barely understand a word the were saying. Poor company and very unprofessional. AVOID at all costs!!

After cancelling car insurance I was told it was one price to cancel before being asked for over an extra £100 on top of that - when I questioned I was told they would investigate a review my original telephone call to see what I was told - this instead I was passed on to a debt collection company. I had no issue with paying what was required. Instead they have escalated without any regards to what what they commiited themselves to. Not a company I would recommend or use on the future - but hey ho - you live and learn about bad business practice al the time.

Very bad, because online services is not available when I try to change my details by online , it doesn’t work , they said call help line then they changed admin fee This is unacceptable , cheating money very very bad service

Endeavoured to get insurance for my car on a Sunday so that my cover could start next day. Was given reference number by "compare the market" and was directed to Vavista website. Entered the required details but for some unknown reason my bank details were rejected. The web site invited me to try again but every time I did the site simply told me that "session over". I tried all ways to start a new "session". On the Monday I made a phone call to Vavista and was told to try again and revisit web site or the insurance would be £20 more.On three occasions these phone calls were made and three times the web site informed me "session over" before even being given the opportunity to enter my bank details. Ultimately I purchased the insurance by phone by giving the same reference number that I should have been able to use on-line. That cost me £20 more. I must stress however that the staff who I dealt with on-line were all very friendly and courteous, and did inform that there would be the extra charge. However the website was not allowing me to do this so I did purchase my insurance over the phone.
