Unfortunately I can't rate my product as I haven't received it. I had a message from Hermes to say it was delayed. That was over a week ago, with no update. I now now longer need this product, as I have had to buy a substitute to complete my job.

Product never delivered on time and when you speak to customer service they always don’t know nothing, when they say they’ll ring you back they don’t. Had the same problem all year definitely needs sorting out

Hi Alex, Thanks for this review. I am sorry you feel this way about the service received. On receipt of your order as a click and collect, and the distance to your address from ourselves, we did attempt to call you on several occasions to question if this was correct. Unfortunately, we had no answer to our phone messages. I can see that when delivery was paid, your order was dispatched in good time, and though split into seperate deliveries seems to have been delivered in full. If this is not the case please do let us know so that an investigation can be raised with the courier. I cannot see any notes that requested a call back from our team, but am sincerely sorry should this have not happened. In reference to your notes about previous orders with us, I'm afraid I cannot see that any contact was made regarding either of your February orders and so we would not know of any issues regarding these. I understand that the railway sleepers are for landscaping but unfortunately all the landscapers I have working on my garden project have condemned the sleepers and said not fit for purpose. Out of 12 7 were bent like bananas so not sure what to do with them; I had to purchase another batch from another company. Customer service was not much help, they said they are meant for landscaping and are not meant to be perfect or straight.

Hi Blessings, I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with some of your order this time. I've tried to look into this for you, however, the image and review you've submitted is the only notification I can find that there was an issue with the items received. I've attempted to locate phone calls and searched our inboxes, but unfortunately cannot find any contact from you, other than to contact us for delivery dates. We do try and remain transparent that although our timber is of good quality, it may be prone to splits, cracks and warping, as per other timber suppliers, with it being a natural wood product. We supply landscaping grade timber, not smoothed or planed construction-grade products. If you do require us to look into this further, we're happy to discuss this with you directly. Ordered items, tracked out of warehouse to courier then went back to warehouse, spoke to helpful staff who reordered, what they forgot to tell me was they were out of stock, still took my money tho. When no delivery sent phoned again and was only then told they were out of stock. Guess what bought else where and won’t return, sorry not impressed. I did ask for no further mailing but still got emailed and asked to comment on my order.

I can see that the courier failed to deliver the initial order dispatched to you, on learning this a member of our customer care team did raise a replacement order straight away. It is unfortunate that on creating this, the out of stock item was missed, and I can assure you this process will be reviewed to prevent this in the future. I can see that your replacements have now arrived with you. If it is the case that you now want to return these due to the delay in receipt, please do let us know directly and we can of course arrange collection of the goods from you. I was very upset that 5 out of 10 of the sleepers were badly warped and misshapen. Also when I left a message about this, no one has got back to me.

Product, pond netting, was not strong as advertised. On opening the package the hem on the side was detached in parts. I could not return it as the covering of my large pond had to be replaced as previous had been discarded. I did email the company but response was not very helpful.

Hi Geoffrey, I'm very sorry to hear you're unhappy with the service this time. The email you'd sent us regarding the bird netting you'd ordered did state that the material had started to fail after you'd already cut the item to size. I'm afraid once a product has been cut or customised we aren't able to accept a return on this. No mention when I was ordering that the stick was not at yard and waiting to be replenished. Has cost me money and upset a customer. Won’t be recommending this company to ANYONE!!!!

Hi Adam, I'm really sorry you feel this way. I can see when your order was placed on our website, the product was showing a Pre-Order button, meaning stock was too low to fulfil your order. I can see also, however, that the stock is actually available and delivery should be with you soon, as detailed in your phone conversation with my colleague on 30th September. Probably never use again. Poor communication on delivery dates, the customer having to chase up on when its going to be delivered because for some unknown reason they cant give you a date when you purchase despite having the product in stock and charging 100pounds for it. So me haggling every other day and twiddling my thumbs every day for an answer isnt the best service ive had. Dont understand do they just expect people to not work and be at home on a random day of their choice? Ridiculous.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Ordered sleepers after a terrible ordeal last time I was assured I would have a better experience….WRONG! Same poor quality of product and same lame excuse that I have to “accept a certain level of damage”. When asked for replacements they asked for photos, then more photos and then different view of photos. Clear to see mechanical damage from a poor logistical company that can’t deliver an undamaged product and should be a straight forward replacement but weeks later I am still waiting.

Really disgusted by their delivery policy. They NEED the customer or a representative of theirs to be on site when the delivery arrives to offload the materials ordered. In this day and age merchants like them, get the item delivered (most of which are heavy like, timber sleepers, soil, compost etc) with cranes, fork lift trucks and no one is required to be at the site when they deliver but for Suregreen. They are out of this world. When called them, they said it is clearly written on their website. For a merchant dealing with the materials what they are selling, a customer would assume that, the materials will be delivered and the customer does not need to be present and most importantly, they do not have to offload the materials. You can not competing in the Strongest man on Earth competition. The BIZZARE DELIVERY POLICY should pop up and flash / highlight as soon as you open their webpage, rather than written as normal under the heading of "delivery". You order from Travis Perkins, B & Q, Wickes and even local suppliers, no one has a stupid and diabolical delivery policy for heavy item like "Suregreen". I had to pay another £40 for Special Saturday delivery and had to request a good neighbor of mine to be ready for a 6.30am delivery, ruining his Saturday morning. Or else take a day off and request the neighbor to do so and loose your daily wages. Wow! I work in Healthcare and agreed to pay extra £40 rather than cancelling by list of around 30 patients who have been waiting, God knows for how many weeks, especially in a pandemic. Hats off and standing ovation to Suregreen. I am not sure where this review will be posted but surely want this review to be on Trustpilot.
