“My husband and arrived early for my Aunt Annes cremation on 29th October 2024. We were delighted to see the lovely grounds that surrounded the crematorium. The funeral was carried out with care and dignty in a lovely room. There was no rushing about just a peaceful send off for my Aunt. Thank you.”

“We live local and the Co-op said the facilities were good and you were very good so we booked. The day came and we arrived you were easy to find for family from out of the county the seating was very comfortable the 3 screens gave family a chance to see pics of my dad service went very well not rushed. Over all yes I'd recommend you to others thanks for making our send off a good experience”

“Our family had to travel quite a distance to attend our relative's recent funeral at North Oxfordshire Crematorium so to arrive to such beautiful surroundings was very very welcome. The 'comfort' block was a revelation with both toilet and changing facilities. As we were such a small mourning group and had requested a more relaxed and conversational service the atmosphere and seating couldn't have been better . The immediate impression was of light and space with the most comfortable long seating we could have imagined , meaning our speakers felt relaxed , and had a choice of whether to sit or stand as they spoke their tribute to our loved one. Everything we had requested was provided, from the entry and exit music , to support we received from our celebrant Sarah and Anna and pall bearers /driver from the funeral home. Many thanks also to all responsible for making it so straightforward for our relative who lived nearby to pick up the ashes in our stead, which meant we didn't have to delay our trip home. The family all agreed our experience had been a very positive and comforting one, thanks to all concerned.”

“I booked two time slots so that we would not be rushed. There were two longish eulogies and a lot of music. It worked perfectly. The staff were discrete and welcoming. The premises and surroundings are comfortable and pleasant. We streamed the service online as there were elderly and distant family members and ex-colleagues unable to attend. It came across extremely well, both at the time and when we viewed it later - we were given a link to do this. It could not have been more satisfactory. I’d strongly recommend it as a venue for a cremation service”

“I hadn't been to Barnby Dun Crematorium before, my husband had passed and I wanted to visit it before his service. I arrived without an appointment with my intention of just having a walk around - I bumped into the Manager Mike and he took me under his wing and showed me around the chapel and we walked around the garden. For a new site it felt incredibly peaceful. I was able to familirise myself with the venue for the day. On the day it was amazing - our super funeral directors, Armitage from Thorne looked after us and when we arrived at the crematorium it was lovely, we were obviously very emotional but we did not feel like a number, there was no in and out, we were able to pay our respects in a peaceful relaxed way. The seating was comfortable, acoustics were great it was a perfect send off. Guests said how different the service was, I think we were there for about an hour - it was obviously very sad but we were given the time and space to pay our respects and say our goodbyes.”
