“I sent an email to Rachael MacCadam (Crematorium Manager) on 28/06/2026 expressing the appreciation of the family for the arrangements at Amber Valley Crematorium for my wife’s funeral on 21/08/2026. The service went entirely to plan and the live streaming to relatives in South Carolina worked perfectly. The liaison with the funeral director from Thomas Greatorex Ltd was very efficient. There is nothing that could have been done bett”

“The building and gardens are beautifully kept, the service was done beautifully the celebrant Dawn did a marvelous job. The funeral directors Flints also did a marvelous job keeping us informed with the whole process.”

“We had my daughter's Celebration of Life service at Memoria recently. We found Memoria to be a very peaceful place, set in a beautiful area with lovely rural views. The venue was lovely, bright and modern and we were very pleased with how it was set up inside, especially with the pink lighting! As we booked the last slot of the day, we were not rushed to get out which we appreciated. It is nice to know that we can go there for a walk round the pond and outdoor area with when we want to. Thank you Memoria for the care and attention you provided on the day. I would highly recommend this venue!!”

“Nothing was too much trouble, even with nearly 300 people attending the service - the perfect send-off for the perfect husband. Following the service, nothing has been too much trouble sorting out the memorial, ensuring everything is just what we want. Would highly recommend Memorial.”

“My husband had always wanted to be cremated, to the point that it was written in his will if I died first. My experience of crematorium had always been so negative that I insisted I wouldn’t have him cremated, to the point that I had bought a burial plot for the 2 of us, years ago. However, when he died I succumbed to his wishes. Full of dread I attended the open day, which was just prior to his funeral. I have to say I was delighted by the experience: the chapel, the garden of remembrance and the staff were amazing and I left knowing that I would be happy to leave my husband of 47 years there. The funeral was beautiful and they even accommodated my husband’s cousin, who wished to pipe him in to the chapel. And when the time came I happily left him in their care. His ashes were scattered on the scattering lawn, and I have now adopted a Scot’s pine as his, and in time my, memorial adjacent to the scattering lawn. I am free to visit the garden at any time and it is a joy to do so surrounded by lakes, rose gardens and of course the trees waiting to be adopted. Take the time to visit the chapel and the garden and you will feel the tranquility and the love and care that was taken to create it, and the love and care that is taken to maintain it.”

“The rural surroundings and space at Waveney memorial park and crematorium are tranquil and modern. The family was very happy with the light airy room, the music and picture reel which added a really personal touch to the service we had for mum. There are 2 things in my mind that would improve the overall experance: Firstly the placement of the donation box need to be more obvious and in the eyeline of guests as they come out after the service. In our case it was placed so it was behind guests as they left the main room. Secondly there is no obvious place for key family members to be guided towards so they can greet and thank guests as they come out of the ceremony.”

“We attended Memoria at Barry recently for the funeral of my mother. All arrangements by Memoria were handled very well. It was arranged for the floral spray to be displayed so the following day we went to see them again and took the opportunity to wander around. I have attended various funerals at this site and had never taken the time to do this. It was a wonderful peaceful oasis of calm at what can be a very upsetting time for most. Very well kept and a fitting place for anyone to be laid to rest.”

“This crematorium is in a beautiful setting, has plenty of parking facilities and has a friendly, comforting feel about it. The chapel is lovely with comfortable seating and a welcoming atmosphere. The service for my late husband was simple and poignant and proceeded without any hitches and without feeling rushed. It made this sad occasion much more bearable for myself and my family.”
