“I was very satisfied by the services offered at Woodside, the comfort, the respectful atmosphere, the correctness and volume of the music, the 'slide show' we desired. My only disappointment was the speed with which we were ushered from the building without time to acknowledge and thank attendees who were unable to join the family at the 'purvey'.”

“The venue is nicely decorated and tasteful. The grounds are well maintained. However we were a little disappointed that the only usable microphone was at the lectern and that could not be moved. Seating was moved at our request because ours was a very small funeral. It would be lovely to have the option of a smaller space in these circumstances”

“Sadly, this is the second funeral I have attended within the last year or so. As to the service provided, very good. I do hope there is no need for me to attend another funeral too quickly but that is no reflection on your service but a wish not to lose anyone else too soon. Kind regards Karen”

“I had little direct involvement until we arrived for the service. My undertaker dealt with making the arrangements. Parking is ample, signposting to the venue from the main road is sufficient. The greeting from the staff was very respectful. The room was well lit, and warm, and clean. There was no sense of rush. he ceremony, involving my vicar, was professional and smooth. There was a technical hitch on the day playing a CD; the test-run the day before had been perfect, my undertaker told me, but on the day the equipment mis-behaved. My undertaker had a portable CD player and dealt with the situation. No-one from the organisation apologised directly to me afterwards for the problem. Family members told me the toilets were perfectly clean.”

“Only one minor misunderstanding, a member of staff working outside didn’t know my husband’s car would be leading the hearse and he asked my son in law who was driving it to kindly move over, it was soon sorted out .”

“From the initial brochure viewing to the setting, facilities and ambiance of the Memoria I was very impressed. Our service went smoothly with many positive comments from attendees. My only criticism would be that once the service had finished, I felt rushed to leave which did not give me time to acknowledge family members and friends I had not seen for months, and some even years. This changed my overall experience. I understand that when another service is booked in, this is difficult but if families could be given that bit more time at this very heartbreaking time it could only improve families experience.”

“Lovely crematorium. We requested the purple lighting as it was dads favourite colour but the staff forgot to action this request and by the time it was noticed, it was too late to put them on as the service had already started. I know this slight criticism sounds trivial but as a family, it’s something we wanted. Other than that, everything went smoothly. Thank you.”

“Mum’s cremation service ran smoothly and reflected her wishes closely. We never felt rushed and the whole event was a celebration of her long life. The additional webcast link was good and enabled those unable to be there to feel part of the day.”
