The funeral director and the celebrant on the day were both excellent and rescued Babs' funeral after the Memoria rep who was organising it remotely failed to deliver the Order of Service, failed to follow our request on the presentation and was unresponsive to our last minute request for help

I possibly cannot comment as you have requested as my dear Husband had a unattended funeral Perhaps if you had checked you would not have sent this email as I do not know what happened. All I know is he passed on the 5th April and he was cremated on 23rd April at 8am approx. I collected his ashes the following week Sandra Peache

Hello, Although the service went largely well, when we entered the service the incorrect name was being projected. This was quickly resolved, but I think it was poor that the folloowing happened: 1) there was a look to blame others and 2) there was no apology for this error. I would have preferred a frank apology and quick resolution. I didn't care who's fault it was, it just wanted it resolved asap and then to move on with the service.

Celebrant brilliant Funeral directors fine Memoria, too soon to be asking a bereaved daughter for a review especially as we are still going through an inquest

I was very happy with the service. However I can't believe you are asking me to review you today it is in very poor taste .May I suggest you give people at least a week before asking for reviews

The service was good The major problem was the failure of the online streaming service. My family in Australia travelled many miles to be together they were very upset. Also, my wife's oldest friends were gathered together they were extremely disappointed. This caused me a lot of unnecessary distress at a very difficult time. The lack of any compassion from the streaming company or recompense is also upsetting.

Not enough time given to each service and funeral director was pushy and rude to hurry us

everything was fine except that you spelled my mothers's name wrongly above the coffin. It should have been 'Anne' as on the order of service not 'Ann'

Carol good evening and thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Memoria team at Kirkleatham. We take all reviews good and bad very seriously and when there is an issue as there clearly was here, we investigate extensively. For the service you attended, the Funeral Director on the day provided the celebrant who was in total control of the media delivery for the service and chose to omit the final piece of music, possibly as a result of time constraints? You may wish to discuss with the funeral director further we would be happy to provide you with their details. Sincerely

I was extremely disappointed to see that of the 2 photographs we submitted for digital display on the wall- one of them was of a complete stranger! This was upsetting and embarrassing. Although put right by yourselves after prompting and apologies were given - it shouldn’t have happened.

The service for my brother for which we had done so much preparation was marred because the speakers were not working. Because of the COVID restrictions we had carefully chosen those who could attend the funeral and we were mortified to learn afterwards that 40% of the guests could not hear anything and felt excluded. The occasion cannot be repeated but we feel a contribution to my brother’s chosen charity would be appropriate.
