“We recently, as family and friends, celebrated the life of my mother at Amber Valley Crematorium. Over the years as an adult living in Derby I have attended the funerals of several people close and dear to me, I attended this location for the first time a year ago. I was instantly struck by its bright interior and uplifting atmosphere. It lacked the oppressive decor that I have previously encountered elsewhere. It was held in a medium, flexibly sized room. The acoustics seemed good and celebrant and accompanying music could be clearly heard. The curtained dias, where the casket was placed, was centra positioned, well lit and could be seen by all. Grounds were nice and mature and generally, the building layout allowed for a smooth, calm occasion. When my mother passed away last month I wanted her funeral to be held at Amber Valley and was not disappointed. Thank you.”

“We chose a private cremation. It was beautiful and so peaceful. Not for everyone but it suited our circumstances. We were very impressed by the decor and cleanliness of the interior. I believe it had been upgraded and is certainly the nicest crematorium I have been in. The staff member in attendance that morning was very respectful as were our chosen Undertaker.”

“A fantastic new facility in our home town. Staff very helpful and worked well with Drayson and team at Co-op Funeralcare. The arrangements in the crematorium for a projected picture of mum and the availability of the organ and chosen music on Obitus was excellent. Very comfortable and warm. One attendee caught his hand between the toilet door and wash basin who reported it at the time and staff very responsive.”

“This was a very peaceful environment where we held a cremation for our mum. The inside was really lovely and the surrounding area was very picturesque. I had not visited before as the main service for mum was held in a church. We were pleased with memoria.”
