Hi Ann Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you found some of the plants purchased not up to your expectations. All the plants supplied are a minimum of 2 years old. As they are not greenhouse grown but are outside the weather does affect these so if there has been a poor growing season previously then it can affect them with regards size, but the roots should be very healthy and we do expect them to thrive once planted. I ordered three helleborus orientalis double red in 10 cm pots. The plants were despatched on time and protected in plastic cartons, but then the cartons had been stuffed into a really small box, only just big enough for two. The box clearly wouldn’t close so had been stapled shut by the packers with 3 inch wide staples! Plastic protective cartons (and therefore plants) were totally crushed. Flower buds had rotted and a tangly mass of roots were poking through the bottoms of the pots, which had to be snapped off to get the plants out. They should have been repotted into bigger pots last season, but goodness knows what state they would have arrived in if they were despatched in the same size cardboard box! Such a waste of otherwise healthy plants. JParkers have been very reliable for bulbs, but this is the last time I’ll buy plants from them (This isn’t my first bad plant experience…)

Hi Anonymous Thank you for your review. I am really sorry that the hellebores arrived in such a poor condition. The travel pots in which the plants are grown are used for the 1st couple of years and they are given lots of nourishment. In a good growing year it can mean that the roots start to come through the bottom of the pot which is great as they are raring to go once they are planted out. You can snip those roots off without it being any detriment to the plant. Unfortunately we can't guarantee that the Hellebores will be in flower when you receive them and flowers are now starting to die back on them naturally, neither ourselves or the growers remove anything as it can be of detriment to the plant to do so. Please sort your website out. Even the contact form (e-mail) does not work which when you wish to complain only pours more fuel on the flames. I signed up for the notify me email when stock comes in ( bulbs in the green) and I have had no communication at all. They are available and it looks like they have been for some time. If you are an online company make sure that your systems and processes work or don't offer them in the first place. As a company, I spend a reasonable amount of money with you on this site and as a trade customer. If this keeps up I will be looking for another bulb supplier.

Received my hollyhocks plants. Planted them out, unfortunately so far only 7 out of 15 has shoots and is coming along nicely. What now !!

As we are coming towards the end of winter and into spring new growth should start to appear on all of the hollyhocks, they don't all grow at the same rate so please give them a little more time. I ordered an amaryllis bulb. I was dissappointed in that it was very small and miss-shapen. However I have planted it but as yet it has not shown any signes of growth.

I tried to order 5 packs of 10 tulips for the price of 4. The web site wouldn't do it, then the weekend call person said that they couldn't fix it. Finally talked to a very helpful man who said it would have to be done over the phone, and took my order like that. Be warned - if you do this, nothing appears on the website about your order. Spoke to someone to check on this, and they were borderline rude. The bulk of the order came, but two packs of tulips have never arrived, and I wanted these for a specific spot. There are only two stars as one person was so helpful - otherwise it would be none

I regret giving this low score, but I recently received an acer specimen which cost over £20, and which frankly was no more than a bare foot long twig with no branch structure. I estimate that it will take at least three years for this twiglet to resemble a very small tree. When I complained and asked for a discount I was told that I could return the product for a refund. I sent a photo and replied that I did not want the considerable hassle of securely packaging and returning the plant, and that I thought a discount would be the fairest option, the company refused. Not the best customer service I'm afraid.

Ordered pack of 3 Blue Prince (Male) Hollies, I didn't expect big plants for the price but the 3 single stemmed very tall (90cm), 'whip' like stems, with a few branches only at the top, I received are a disappointment. I assumed they would be more bushy from the base. Having a photo on the website would avoid customers being disappointed.

I informed you of the state of my parcel when it arrived, it may have left your depot in good condition but when evri delivered it the parcel was badly damaged and the plants inside were all smashed up. I now have to wait until spring to see if they will survive.

For the price very disappointed,the vibernam Kilimanjaro was basically a six inch sprig cutting,the scale azalea was not a lot better and the Acer I'll judge when spring arrives.my other order I cancelled as the delivery was months away and nothing on the website to say a two month wait.Will not be purchasing again.

I ordered bulbs which were sent to me in August , too early to plant (narcissi, crocuses, tulips). Unfortunately they were packed wet, so when I opened the box to plant them in late October, half of them were rotted and useless.

Hi Anonymous Thank you for your review and I am sorry to learn of your disappointment when opening your box some time after receipt. We do advise that you check the bulbs on receipt to ensure that there are no issues with them and to notify us within 7 days if there is a problem. It is likely if you have left them packed up then they will sweat and in turn go mouldy as bulbs do contain moisture. We don't recommend storing bulbs because of instances such as this and they have just come out of the ground so would be more than happy to go straight back in. When storing they should be removed from all packaging and spread out on trays or newspaper in a dry airy place, this ensures that no mould occurs. Kind regards, Trish
Check the size of bulbs. Dont assume the ones you receive are those shown in photographs. That was my mistake.

Over the years we have placed many many orders and have always been satisfied with the plants supplied...BUT our recent order was very poor...eg some plants out of container .other very spindly and other plants dead...Very Disappointed
