Terrible service, and zero contact from customer service. Ordered on 21 November on basis of 2-3 day delivery. They took money straight away, yet 3 weeks later still no delivery. I’ve emailed, called and still no response. My advice would be to avoid.

Extremely poor and painful experience, disgusting customer service and communication......on 30/11/20 paid £187.50 and expecting delivery on 2nd Dec. Received a confirmed shipment but no delivery. I made a phone call on 4/12/20 as thy had failed to respond to an earlier email requesting a refund. As of 8/12/20 no response and no refund. Product not sent due to breakages and expected me to wait 2 weeks without any communication. Still without money and if they insist on ignoring me my bank with progress with a charge back. Disgusting the contempt they have and the lack of communication is appalling

Paid for next day delivery nearly 4 weeks ago and have still not got what I ordered. I have emailed but got no reply and phoned about 10 days ago and was promised it in the next day or two but nothing has been delivered. Very poor.

Coat Hooks could have been ordered as multi packs, no reply to my emails to amend my order. Delivery was ok but the screws delivered with the hooks are made from butter so all need replacing.

On October 8th I ordered two Cast Iron Chest Handles costing 13.9 GBP. In order to have them delivered to my home in Canada I agreed to pay and additional 20 GBH for shipping and handling. On November 8 I received an email from a customs broker telling me that I would have to pay an additional 17 GBH for duty and brokerage fees. I have refused to pay these additional charges since Ironmongery did not advise of them in advance. When i order from other online sellers such as AMAZON - all the shipping and handling charges are included. I have not received these handles and Ironmongerw World have REFUSED TO REFUND the 33 GBH that I originally paid for them. My advice to anybody outside the UK buying from this company is CAVEAT EMPTOR - BUYER BEWARE

Unfortunately, on this occasion customs in Canada require a duty to be paid on goods purchased aboard. This is something that is out of our control and we do not have a say in this matter. Wish I had seen the other reviews before I ordered. Placed order last Monday, no sign of it despite paying next day delivery. None of the telephone numbers on the website work, the tracking number on Yodel seems fake. Calling Citizens Advice Consumer Service to give them their details and then the credit card company to sort refund. If the same happened to you report them to Citizens Advice Consumer Service, the more complaints the quicker the action against this poor company.

I think this company needs investigating and I may be contacting trading standards if my products do not arrive. I have ordered £54 worth of ironmongery, expecting the next day delivery, after 2-3 days of production and asked as these are a gift to be notified if they would be late. I rang customer service to see if they find out how much longer they would be and they hung up! I am VERY suspicious and strongly recommend you avoid the company at the moment.

Absolutely an awful company! They dint have most of the products in their warehouse at the moment but instead they would still sell under ne t day delivery. It's been weeks and still havent received the items. I asked them to return my money but they wont so I.have to get it through my bank. If you dont want to go through the hassle just stay away from them.

Ordered items on19th October. Was due for delivery 2-3 days. Now 20 days later. Had no delivery, no response to my 3 emails, no explanation and no refund given either. Very disapointed. Delivery traxking information states Yodel still not recieved item from sender.

My order arrived very fast although I had not received any confirmation of the purchase except from PayPal. However..two items are very poor quality & despite 3 emails asking for a refund label not one has been answered & now I’ve read the other reviews I can see they probably won’t! Do not use this company

Order took far longer to arrive than stated - it did not leave them for three days. When it arrive it was incomplete with several items missing or partly missing. No reply to my emails and no help from the phone service. At best this company is incompetent - DO NOT USE.

Please be careful with this company. As so many others have said recently, the item you order appears in stock (or makeable by them), then you get a Yodel tracking number shortly after placing the order, but this appears fake as it only ever says 'Your parcel will be with us soon'. Been waiting over 2 weeks now any nothing. My calls to them are answered with the usual - 'we'll look into this', or 'hooks are out of stock'. Nothing changes though. I've just asked for a refund, fingers crossed that happens, but I feel a claim through my credit card will be needed soon. Very poor.

My order was next day delivery and I even got the tracking number. But apparently they didn't even have the item in stock when they sold it to me. I have been asking them to return my money since then and they have been ignoring my messages. I will contact my bank today. I will stay away from this company if you dont want any hassle.

Seems to be a recurring theme recently. Like others order not delivered, called helpline, to be told no one was available to help me but someone would call back.They didn't, nor have they responded to my emails. Terrible customer service avoid doing business with this company.

Terrible service. As like so m y other reviews on here, I ordered parts and got an email back with a bogus tracking number for yodel. I waited a week for the items, no sign of them. Emailed ironmongery world no response. Phoned and got some flannel about the delivery driver not having scanned the parcel properly. Phoned again after the weekend to be told that they haven’t even got the items from their supplier despite their on-hold spiel saying that they forge everything themselves. No apology just poor service.

Patiently, I ordered the same item on 4 separate occasions and not one arrived!! Hence my lack of patience now! They simply do not dispatch and just email a false tracking number that never progresses from collection via Royal Mail. Their responses are a joke too! I’ve shown them the respect in giving them numerous chances, and they give absolutely no respect back. Utterly dismissive and unprofessional. Single worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.

I placed two orders with this company. Delivery was fast, and one of the products was OK. The other was substandard, so I returned the items in May. Despite chasing on numerous occasions both by phone, and by email, I have not received my refund. The products were returned using their preferred method, tracked, and I can see that they were taken receipt of. They have basically stolen my money. If you don't anticipate having to return any items you may wish to use them, but I would strongly advise avoiding this company.
