I ordered a pair of chrome window stays and received a pair of sun-glasses! I was unable to use the online ordering service provided and had to telephone Ironmongery World to place an order which turned out to be a big mistake, after two attempts I resorted to emails to place my order. They got my order totally muddled and i received, via Yodel, a pair of sun-glasses! Yodel told me the fault was not with them but with the sender. I will never use Ironmongery World again.

Customer service was terrible when something went wrong the lady we spoke to was so nasty on the phone didn't want to resolve our problem Alls we wanted to know is if there was a keyhole cover that fitted a key that we bought of this company

I paid for a 24 hour delivery, it didn’t arrive, we phoned to be told the items are out of stock and we would get a refund, I have not had this in writing, no refund, no items, now what ?.

Ordered before 3pm so qualified for the next day delivery service. Paid extra for next day delivery. Email arrives the day before to confirm item was shipped and it provided a tracking number. The courier company said the tracking number was not recognised. Emailed ironmongeryworld - no response. Called and spoke to ironmongeryworld and was told the goods were not shipped as they were 'defective'. No email to let me know, no goods received. An awful service, in fact no service at all.

Terrible experience! Ordered an item and needed delivered to Australia, receipt clearly showed shipment to my address in Australia. Item never arrived, I called 2 months later and was told they don't deliver to Australia and I had to order through Etsy, which is $100 Australian Dollars more expensive. They offered refund but refused to admit they were at fault. If I didn't call them, they would have kept the money and not delivered the item.

Appalling service - I bought 14 window cleats from the website and then noticed they were being sold by the very same company on eBay for half the price I paid. I spoke to the most unhelpful customer service person who basically refused to do anything and told me that no-one from the actual company was there to talk to. I would not deal with them again.

Ordered item on two occasions from their Amazon shop only to find after days of "despatch running late" that it was never actually in stock. Got a refund but wasted my time.

Dreadful company. Ordered 8 knobs end of July -they sent the wrong ones which I returned. Early Sept I cancelled the order and got a refund. Telephoned and emailed several times with no result other than rudeness and accused of having no common sense! Their website evn admits that they get things wrong!!! Got my knobs from Door Handle Company, half the price and arrived the following morning.

Useless. Ordered items on Friday 2nd September before 3pm and paid for next day delivery. I stupidly assumed they would arrive by Monday 5th but no. Wednesday 7th and still no delivery so I called Ironmongery World to be told the order was not sent even though it shows on the website that it had been sent and that they did not have the enough of the 4 x handles we ordered. No communication whatsoever. No more orders from my business.

Would give zero stars. Very poor quality merchandise, plating was peeling off when I took the handles out of the package. Returned for refund and a month later I am still waiting. Had to go to PayPal to get a refund.

Bought two sets of hooks 3 months ago. Never arrived. Followed up a number of times to ask where they were and latterly just to cancel and refund. They’ve stopped replying and haven’t refunded. Do not use this company.

Dear Mr Aleksjew, Your order was despatched on the 5th of May. But you have refused to pay the customs charges. So the item has been returned to the warehouse. Thank you.
It took a long telephone conversation before your operative could understand the letters I wanted to order. When I look on the website the order was incorrect and I had to phone twice again before it was corrected. Parcel was addressed to Miss John Godfrey (not Mr) and the name of my house was missing from the address (there is not a number) and the parcel was not delivered to me. I had to go looking for it. It had been delivered at the top of my road whereas I am at the bottom end. It was eventually located. So not really at all impressed with your service.

Dear Mr Godfrey. I am very sorry that you have, had a bad experience with Ironmongeryworld. The parcel will always be addressed to the shipping person, who is MISS if you double-check your sage pay confirmation. There was no house number, other than a name. Which made it very hard for the delivery driver to locate. Future reference, please may you give us all the correct details, such as house number, and valid postcode, to make a smoother journey for us all. Thank you

The reason why this usually happens is that you have sent your items back, without any instructions for a replacement or an exchange. I have investigated this and there has been no correspondence regarding returning this item.

Sent back my order because items arrived damaged. They received my return two weeks ago and I’m still waiting on a refund! Website says easy returns and instant refunds. Don’t believe what you read. Terrible service.

This is the supplier for you if you want to deal with people who; 1. Don't do what they say they will. 2. Provide goods (twice) that don't match their website photo. 3. Don't refund the VAT when they finally get round to arranging a repayment. Otherwise, avoid them. Their service is appalling.

Dear Debbie Thank you for your patience. It is impossible to get items delivered to the USA the next day. Your order was dispatched the same day and sent via UPS.
Considering I havnt received my order yet and have had to phone to enquire of its whereabouts....I don't find your service or communication very acceptable!! You might want to deliver my goods before you ask if I'm pleased with them or not!!
