“I ordered a pelican coat rack and three door knobs on a one day delivery on 22nd June, Order ref 100018892-2020-06-22-11-38-42 , after chasing for over a week and phoning four times the Coat rack turned & very nice it is. Only the door knobs have never appeared. Seems a normal con by Ironmongery world... be very very careful if you ever decide to purchase anything from them.”

“Still waiting for an order I placed over three weeks ago. I've sent emails and rang their customer service line only to be told it will arrive tomorrow which it never does. I get told they will ring me back to fix the problem but they never do. I have asked for a refund but nothing has been confirmed. I will not be using this company again, shocking service!”

“my experience has not been good. i ordered a product 24 th june, which i returned with proof of return on 27 th. i have sent between 5-8 emails to try and get my refund. yesterday i rang and spoke to rahila who said i would have a refund by the end of the day- today i rang again and was told i never paid in the first place.. guess what - the transaction is there on the 26th june the day i purchased !!! come on ironmongery- i am running a business and should not have to put in this much work as your returns process is amiss”

“Got to say I’ve never know a company with such an appalling service! Used next day delivery but item didn’t arrive. Emailed company twice to see where item was but no response. Rang the company after three days to be told they’d look into it but no one got back to me. Rang them again to be told they’d not yet sent the item out so I asked to cancel the item. Was told they would do this and refund me. A week later I’ve had no refund and have now heard from Yodel to say the delivery is on its way! In the meantime I’ve ordered and received items from a different supplier.”

“Absolutely shocking service, lied to about order being dispatched again and again. Three weeks I have been waiting and have now cancelled the order. They keep blaming yodel when yodel clearly haven't got the parcel. Do not Use!!”

“Ordered next day delivery. They have solely put the blame on Yodel the delivery company. Contacted Yodel who have said they have not received anything from them Some of the excuses of the last couple of days have been laughable. From ' my computers frozen' when trying to get the order number to ' the collection driver keeps forgetting to scan it' and' there's and issue with Yodels scanner' when trying to explain why Yodel hasn't received the parcel they are insisting they have sent. Its quite clear from other people in a similar situation this company emblazons their website with the promise of next day delivery, gets the money in, and then train their staff (badly) on how to explain it away. I'm just annoyed I didn't read the reviews on this company earlier, and hope other people don't make the same mistake. Its such a same during this difficult time how honest, good quality companies are suffering, and cowboys like these are thriving”

“I wish I had bothered to read the reviews before doing business with this company, I would have saved myself £30. I ordered some hinges on April 20th and returned same on April 28th. Despite two telephone calls, emails and a letter I have had no acknowledgement or refund. It is now July 6th! Customer Service non existent. BUY YOUR HARDWARE ELSEWHERE!!”

“Order a consignment of polished chrome cabinet knobs and pull handles. Prompt delivery however poor quality goods. The threads were rusty and had different heads. Contacted the company and as yet had no response. Will not use them again.”

“DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS FIRM or from what appear to be linked companies, S&S International (UK) Ltd and Builders Ironmongery.com. I ordered 2 small swan neck antique drawer handles on 28/4/20 and was promised next day delivery. They still haven’t arrived (today is 26/6/20) despite 3 phone calls where I was promised they would be sent and an email, to which I never even received a reply. From looking at other reviews it appears it is mainly low cost items that don’t get delivered, presumably because they think they can get away with it. I am now going to report them to Trading Standards.”

“Appalling Company!!! Ordered my goods on30/05/20 supposedly 24 hr delivery. Nothing has turned up. Despite numerous calls to Customer support which is non existant. They promise to look into your order when you call and call you back which never happens!! they are happy to take your money from your bank. Now they claim they cannot find the order. Further investigation uncovers a litany of dissatisfied customers by the hundreds. Do not use this company. A total con. Am now having to attempt to get money back from my credit card company! A total con!!! Do not use this company”

“Liars and thieves. They claim items have been dispatched, when this is clearly untrue. Absolutely nothing I have ever ordered from them has actually arrived. The company makes a profit purely by relying on customers not being bothered to ask for a refund. Beware too of "Ironmongery Express" on e-bay. Same company, similarly deceitful. Avoid them. Note Bradford address.”

“o item or refund received Placed an order on 14/05/2020! for next day delivery. Despite phone calls and emails advising order will be sent or money refunded they have not done either. Customer service is appalling. The lady whom I spoke to (not sure if same person each time) seems to have difficulty in comprehending an enquiry/instruction. “All the bad reviews are right. They will not reply to your emails and yes they pick up the phone take your details and never phone you back. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Still waiting for items they say were delivered in May 26th. I live in South London and according to Royal Mail tracking number they have given me over the phone the item has been delivered and received in Wales. Something really dodgy going on here.”
