Shocking customer service, I can only describe this companies working practices as chaotic. I've yet to receive my order (which by the way is still showing as in stock on their website). They don't communicate delays or issues.. they don't return calls, their tracking system says my order has been shipped, yet verbally they confirm it hasn't. If I don't have a satisfactory outcome from them by this time next week I'll be cancelling my order.

I can't remember a time that I've received such poor service from a company. No confirmation email, no item delivered, no updates. Took me calling to be told they don't even have item yet. I asked for refund, told 7 to 10 days! Really! I doubt I will even receive it. I'm a customer service advisor myself & I'd be embarrassed if I provided such a poor service.

Product good. Rubbish service, 1 item missing from order and another incorrectly supplied. Ironmongery then didn't respond to email complaint so I ended up with 2 items short!

Sooo absolutely useless. Ordered 4 iron rim locks and handles for next day delivery. Nothing arrived, no email, no calls, nothing. We phoned them 5 days later just to be met with a unpleasant woman who couldn't answer our questions and hung up on my wife. I rang back to ask what was happening and was told our order was out of stock. Also how could we expect next day delivery with a pandemic on the go??? We were promised a refund which didn't arrive and rang again to be told a refund can take upto 10 days. With nothing left to discuss we waited for the refund. No refund arrived but the locks did! Really pointless as we had bought them from elsewhere and got them the next day a few weeks ago. So now we don't trust them enough to return the surplus locks and are stuck with them. If you get what you order then well done, but if you don't good luck, they failed at everything. I'm annoyed that I have to give them 1 star as that implies at least some kind of effort... Anyone wanna buy 4 locks and handles?

As refund process takes 7-10 working days, your order must have dispatched as soon as item was back in a stock, while it was on waiting for refund process. Stay away from this firm I ordered five rim locks back in late November but only four arrived I've left emails to them can't get in touch I should of listened to the other reviews but I thought I'll try, O wish I didn't

Well it was going to be 2 stars (and it could have been much higher) but now it's a 1 star review. My order for an Airer arrived but the staves had dirty footprints all over them and the pulleys were missing. A couple of chasing emails and a package arrived but didn't contain all of the missing items. Ironmongery World have since ignored all my attempts to contact them for the last two weeks. Terrible customer care, stay away unless you're feeling lucky.

NEVER RECEIVED THE ITEM. Next day delivery was actually 11 days. Blame passed onto the 3rd party courier. Which as a customer I had to investigate. Zero customer service. Aggressive attitude, manager not able to assist. No apology. After a week unsettled by retailer I used my camera system to check. Had camera proof delivery driver left on a wall (secure place?), without a signature, forged mine. No efforts made by Ironmongery World Uk Ltd to help. "THEY DID THEIR PART, TAKE IT UP WITH THE COURIER" who they employed. Why is it the customers responsibility to investigate the courier, the sale of contract was with the retailer. I did not choose the courier. Customer service suggested I call the bank and claim back the item not delivered from my credit card as resolution, even though bought with a debit card. Company procedure? Asked for a manager several times, promised a call never came. Generic email provided for complaint. Was called back by customer service to inform me a manager would not call because I threatened to give a bad review. Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced and total lack of ownership about the situation from the retailer. No refund, no apology, not an offer to deliver the product. If you delegate a third party as retailer to transport a product the responsibility should remain with the retailer and not be deferred. I might add on a separate delivery I was short on the order too and had to call to ask for the correct amount to be sent. Mistakes can be made and if a customer is treated well it can be rectified. However the customer service agent requires re training, should not offer opinion, listen to the customer, use all channels to rectify effectively and have some progress. The annoying part of this is the products are great, I am without the product I need to complete a job but never will be using again and certainly will not be recommending Ironmongery World UK Limited.

Dear Customer, Sorry for this experience but let us clarify that you placed an order on 19th December 2020 for the standard delivery. Please note that It was not the next day delivery. We despatched your order on 23rd December 2020 and It was delivered by the yodel on 30th December 2020. As you have provided the evidence of Yodel driver delivering the parcel on your door steps. Please note that they don't take signature due to covid -19 restrictions. As reported to one of our customer service advisors that you were on holidays during that time and when you came back parcel wasn't there on your door steps. If you analyze the whole situation, we have done our job and so is yodel delivered your parcel. Unfortunately, we can't take the responsibility of your absence and parcel being missed. Very poor service. I ordered a few things on line. First the website was playing up. Eventually when I placed the order, I paid extra for next day delivery as the items were required for installation by the contractor. The parcel did not arrive following day, so I telephoned and was told that i would receive it following day and that next day delivery does not mean that the parcel is received next day. It still has not arrived today and I was told to contact Yodel. I tracked my parcel and it has not even left ironmongery world! I did contact Yodel by phone and got same reply. So even after two working days I have not received the parcel. Yodel said that after they receive parcel it will be next day that they can deliver to me. Useless, what is the point of paying extra for next day delivery.

We contacted DPD yesterday and they informed us that they are delivering the back log at the moment and there is possible delay in terms of deliveries. I tried ordering something online, said that it was in stock. I paid extra for next day delivery. 4 working days later (6 in total) I called back to chase my order. They advised that it had just come into stock that I'd have it the next day. I'm now a further 4 days later and still waiting for it. Never received a confirmation email despite getting repeated promises that I will get one. Abhorrent service

This is not even worth 1 star to be honest. The communication has been rubbish from when I made my order 08/01/2021, other than confirmation my payment had been taken. I made contact to be advised my ordered items were held up as a result of EU restrictions on goods. Had I have not made contact I would never have known this. No update and 2 further messages and surprise surprise, no response. The final message I sent was requesting a refund as I have no idea if the items I orders will ever arrive. Poor communication, lack of contact and very amateurish and would never go near this business again. I will continue to chase with messages emails, but charge back or contacting trading standards may be needed after reading some of the reviews on here which show a very similar experience.

Our phone calls and emails are being answered on daily basis. Please confirm your your order details and we will get this sorted out for you. Like we explained, after the Brexit, we had few parcels returned back to us by the courier and we had to make some arrangements with them. Hope that's make sense for the reason of delay.
Highly concerned about the bad reviews. Terrible service and no communication. Ordered on 18 December, now 9 January and still no good received, but they still took the money back on order. I’ve emailed, telephoned but still no response. Trying to get a refund. I'm getting some guidance from a solicitor in Bradford. Order: 100032338.

Awful company and customer service. How they are still in business baffles me. Never answer emails. Keep making false promises over the phone and then get rude when you question their procedures. Will never recommend or use again.

Awful, awful, awful. This outfit will not reply to any emails, return any calls and owe me money. Clearly I’m not the only one to have been defrauded by these amateurs. Do not waste your time and your money. They simply don’t care. COVID can’t be an excuse anymore and certainly does not excuse complete lack of courtesy.

Terrible service and no communication. Ordered on 21 November based on 2-3 working day delivery. Now 12 December and still no good received, but they still took the money back on order. I’ve emailed, telephoned but still no response. Trying to get a refund but no one will answer. My advice would be to avoid this company.
