“Too many problems with my order. Placed the order which took a week to arrive. The vents were supplied without any screws. Sent a request for some screws which arrived but there were not enough and some were not long enough. Have now contacted the company a third time to request enough screws of the right length. This has been a lengthy and time consuming experience!!!”

“The product is made of cast iron which is rusting quite badly already resulting in the latch pivot filling with rust and binding up in wet weather so the latch won't drop into place. This means I have to go down and oil it fairly frequently. I never had to do that with the previous latch which only had to be replaced because it was damaged in the recent gales.”

“Good are nice but the payment proces is dreadful. I had to try 5 times to get basket through as it kept charging me shipping for goods costing £60. Shipping should have been free but it kept charging for it. Had to spend nearly an hour playing with the payment on my mobile or laptop to show it free shipping. Way to trick customers into free shipping you then do not apply.”

“I purchased the potting shed sign and assumed it was treated for rust. However within days of fitting on the door it turned rusty and has lines of rust running down the door”

“Didn't recieve order. Got shipment confirmation 3 hours after ordering. Order did not arrive. Emailed and was told it wasn't in stock but is coming in and would be with me in 4-5 days. Another 2 weeks later still no delivery. Contacted again and was told it would be some weeks before it was in stock. Requested a refund which was granted. Order shouldn't of been accepted if no stock, still showing on the site as in stock now. Nearly 4 weeks wasted on a item that was never in stock.”

“Products were good, but the delivery company that Ironmongery used were absolutely terrible - a time slot for delivery was given but it never arrived, then difficult to contact to see what the problem was, a new all day delivery slot given, stayed in all day and again did not arrive. Delivery company then said they tried to deliver the following day, but no calling card left so doubt this was actually the case. All in all, this resulted in a 7 day delay in receiving the products. very poor customer service from delivery company who never replied to any queries. I would advise Ironmongery not to use this courier in the future as leaves a bad impression.”

“I wasn't able to locate the item anywhere locally so bought it online and although the item itself was reasonably priced, postage was expensive. The item is usuable but the quality is poor. Due to the untidy weld, the item doesn't lay flat on the woodwork and I'll need to notch out the timber. Additionally the paintwork is scratched revealing the blue primer beneath.”

“I’m not completely happy with the trivet. It’s covered in grease and not one complete colour. The sides of the trivet are bare silver metal, whereas the top and bottom are a rusty brown/black. The sides look like they have been hastily cut, and are messy. I’m going to have to clean it and paint it myself and hope it looks ok. Unless I can send it back.”

“It was a disseption not to be informed of the customs clearance charges which were due on delivery and collected by the courier. I was under the impression I was ordering through a French based company and therefore was not expecting the additional 47€”

“I have been asked to write a review, but my product has not yet arrived. I ordered an 'in stock' item over a month ago. After lots of chasing I was told it was to be delivered yesterday, but when I chased the tracking number I was told that was a typo and it will arrive next week. Hopefully it will, and hopefully it will be good quality... I have no idea at this point.”
