“The place was great and at a really good location with ease of access to most places. I think the longest drive we did was about an 1 1/2 hours, but expected when you are in the lake district. 1. I think a few small items need to be sorted though, the front room carpert is dirty, we found this when our disabled grandson was crawling on it. 2. The door after you enter the front door, gets a bit stuck. 3. There is a damp patch that appears in one of the bedrooms on the middle floor, but the location is not under a bathroom, needs investigation. 4. The Kitchen area with the big table, the table is very sticky, I think this maybe down to the vanish deteriorating. But I want to make this clear, this does not detract for what you recieve, as in value for money and you do get that. Communication with the owners was perfect, they are dog friendly, but remember to tell them in advance and overall I was more than happy. There is also a nice walk along the bay about a 5 minute drive away and the locals are so friendly and helpful. There are some very nice pubs to eat out at and great places nearby to visit. Would I go back to this place again - definitely. Note: Communication was done by Email and Phone By Phone - They called us to make sure everything was ok - PERFECT Email - Same or next day, depending when I sent the email - PERFECT”

“Smooth process when booking, providing support and necessary information on pre-arrival, and was prompt when I called for help on getting in touch with the main host of the BnB. Overall, top service and would definitely recommend and use again. The place we stayed at was also very well equipped, clean and self sufficient. I understand this is mutual work done by both the main host and Herdwick cottages, but overall was a very good and smooth experience.”

“Excellent service. Website was easy to navigate and had accurate and detailed information. Appropriately timed emails in the run up to our stay with all the necessary information. The courtesy phone call before or departure to ensure we had all the info we needed was a nice touch. I'd highly recommend.”
