“I received an email shortly before our stay, which gave lots of details and made things very smooth. We might have liked slightly better signage to the cottage once on site, as it took us a couple of attempts to find the right place! Apart from that the communication was wonderful and all very smooth. Thank you.”

“Hi, nice cottage, and very helpful in letting us in a bit earlier. it would have been nice if there was some milk in the fridge - all the long life milk supplied was best before 8th June 2025, and was completely off, wasting one cup of tea. The general cleanliness could also have been better - there were a lot of cobwebs in the upstairs loo. But we really enjoyed the games room, the wood burner and the telly.”

“The booking process was easy, provided with all the property details via email, received a call the night before to check had received evertyhing regards check-in and to ask if had any questions. Would hightly recommend Herdwick Cottages”

“The Mustard Pot is a beautiful cottage!! The cleanliness of the cottage was amazing! The perfect place to stay! Will definitely be visiting again soon! Rebecca’s communication was great, very helpful and attentive, the added touch of a welcome hamper, card and logs for the fire was also very much appreciated! Couldn’t recommend more!!”
