“Incredibly helpful staff and service, the house Adam reccommended was was perfect for us, it was immaculately clean, well dedcorated and equipped with everything we needed. The location was a very short walk from the centre of Ambleside and perfect for exploring the area. The team at Herdwick have so much local knowledge and expertise I would deffinately reccommend using them.”

“Great communication with pre-occupancy courtesy call to ensure there were no hitches at any stage. A small problem with the accommodation was dealt with quickly and effectively leading to a very satisfactory outcome. Delighted with the service and a ‘go to’ in future.”

“Effortlessly booked via website. Entry instructions arrived prior to arrival without prompting, description of the property was accurate and not oversold. We left a passport behind and their efforts to return it to us at our next location was admirable.”

“Prompt confirmation of booking, the ‘phone guide’ to the property is a great idea. It was good to have a courtesy call before our stay to check we had the necessary information. A couple of minor problems with the property were easy to report.”

“All contact was by email which is usual these days. We had pertinent info from the company. I liked the website as it felt more welcoming than some of the standard bigger names. Once booked we were able to contact the owners direct which proved particularly useful as they provided some good directions to avoid narrow lanes to the property.”

“Excellent service. Herdwick cottages staff were so responsive. If they are able to let you in early they were flexible, you know if they couldn't do it, they genuinely couldn't do it. Any queries were answered, you were never made to feel a nuisance. Their communication is excellent! I have used them on a number of occasions now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.”

“Lovely friendly staff. Communication is brilliant and so lovely to speak to a real person on the phone when I rang with a query. The courtesy call before our arrival was a nice touch.
