About Halo:

Halo is a registered charity and social enterprise running 25 sport and leisure centres throughout Herefordshire, Bridgend County Borough, Merthyr Tydfil, Shropshire and Swindon on behalf of the local authorities. We often discuss our status as a social enterprise, but many of our customers are unsure of what it actually means and more importantly, how it benefits them. Being a social enterprise means Halo trades for social purposes. We are a registered charity and 'not for profit' organisation, with no shareholders.

The money we make is ploughed back into the facilities.

“Majority of exercise classes are excellent. However, the staff at the front desk are not very friendly and the swimming changing rooms are often dirty.”

“Andrew explained everything to me, he was brilliant. I'm pleased with the gym and health suite. The pool and changing rooms are in need of some maintenance as they look old and tired.”

“Awesome recreational centre. Loving the Pilates lessons, and Aquafit. Excellent sauna and steam room , very well resourced library and nice to have a cafe on site also. Can’t fault anything. Really good value for money.”

“Staffmare mostly helpful and very pleasant. More time needs to be spent on cleaning. Lockers in the swimming pool alot of the locks dont work, locks need replacing. Toilets smell of urine which you can often smell when you are in the pool swimming. Having said that they seem to have been a bit better lately”

“All the staff are lovely and friendly and very helpful. There are a good assortment of classes, you just have to be organised to book on to the popular ones. Good value for money.”

“The Leominster Centre is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. However, it's not a very bright and welcoming place as there's very low lighting or no lighting at all. I'm guessing this is for energy saving reasons but it makes the place a bit drab. Half of the ceiling is missing from the top studio and apparently it's been like this for years.”
