About Halo:

Halo is a registered charity and social enterprise running 25 sport and leisure centres throughout Herefordshire, Bridgend County Borough, Merthyr Tydfil, Shropshire and Swindon on behalf of the local authorities. We often discuss our status as a social enterprise, but many of our customers are unsure of what it actually means and more importantly, how it benefits them. Being a social enterprise means Halo trades for social purposes. We are a registered charity and 'not for profit' organisation, with no shareholders.

The money we make is ploughed back into the facilities.

“Very clean and tidy, staff are nice. It is sometimes slightly cold which is a shame in the winter especially as I have fibromyalgia and the cold doesn’t help.”

Hi Karen, We appreciate the amazing feedback as well as the five stars, our pool temp is always at 29.7 degrees and has to stay at that temp, sometimes it may feel colder due to the air temp changing on poolside but we do always try to ensure our customers are warm and comfortable. “Starting off the staff are outstanding. So friendly and helpful. The changing rooms needs a massive refurb, the changing facilities needs updating as half the curtains dont cover all the way. Lighting was an issue but now sorted and its freezing when you leave the pool area”

“Halo is an easily accessible place with friendly staff and a wide array of equipment and facilities. I have not once been turned away for an unexpected reason, repair or issue with staffing. Reliability is a big thing for me and Halo definitely delivers.”

“We've been asking for a double cable weights machine for the last 3 years and you upgrade the gym with a load of cardiovascular machines. Really disappointing. Thinking of cancelling my membership and going somewhere with a tidy weight machines.”

“Great centre run by a great team, everyone I've come across have been so helpful and friendly from the cleaning lady to the centre manageress and all the fitness instructors. Also a great variety of classes all throughout the day every day.”

“Not without it's charms. Lockers need to work and be repaired. Showers take too long to be fixed. Perhaps conspiration for neuro diverse people in the pool and music turned down a little?”

“Range of classes are excellent. Freestanding book-in pillars in Reception are out of order frequently! Not good enough. Reception are far too slow in dealing with queues! Soap dispensers in ladies loos frequently out of soap.”
