About Halo:

Halo is a registered charity and social enterprise running 25 sport and leisure centres throughout Herefordshire, Bridgend County Borough, Merthyr Tydfil, Shropshire and Swindon on behalf of the local authorities. We often discuss our status as a social enterprise, but many of our customers are unsure of what it actually means and more importantly, how it benefits them. Being a social enterprise means Halo trades for social purposes. We are a registered charity and 'not for profit' organisation, with no shareholders.

The money we make is ploughed back into the facilities.

“Love coming swimming here, the pool is just the right size and I meet up with and make friends here. Am sad that there often seems to be problems with the computer system that makes booking ( and paying for) the sessions difficult, as afraid it might lead to closure due to lack of funds. Some of the lockers could do with repairing as either don't lock, no keys, or keys don't have bands to put around wrists, but otherwise good. Staff are brilliant.”

“The facilities are good and when attending at quieter periods, there are plenty of choices. I would like to see healthier options with regards to the vending machine as there are no sports nutrition options.”

“overall I have had a postive time in leominster the only concern I do have is more for a safty side on the younger members of the gym under 18 I would say they need more support or guidence as I can see injuries with the free weights taking place plus the importance of warming up and not just jumping in with both feet”

We understand your concern about overcrowding in the activities in the centre, however we do have a booking system in place which should alleviate this issue as we have capped numbers. We will however monitor more closely to make sure people are using the centre and systems correctly. Halo Team

“Bikes & rowing machines need more regular servicing! Especially as your membership fees are so high. However staff are really helpful and good to me . Overall I'm happy”
