About Halo:

Halo is a registered charity and social enterprise running 25 sport and leisure centres throughout Herefordshire, Bridgend County Borough, Merthyr Tydfil, Shropshire and Swindon on behalf of the local authorities. We often discuss our status as a social enterprise, but many of our customers are unsure of what it actually means and more importantly, how it benefits them. Being a social enterprise means Halo trades for social purposes. We are a registered charity and 'not for profit' organisation, with no shareholders.

The money we make is ploughed back into the facilities.

“I enjoyed being a member until the classes got too busy. I was finding it difficult to book onto classes and ended up on too many waitlists.”

“The leasure pool is very handy for me as i only live 15 min walk away. The gym and pool offer everything i need however for someone who has been a member for many years i do feel its a big loss and a dissspointed that you no longer have a sauna.”

“All the staff are friendly and helpful not happy when the apparatus are not working and the lift. I would like to have a few seats in the front entrance so when my husband cant park in disabled car park i have to wait for him thank you.”

“Vicky was very efficient, professional and she listened to what I wanted to achieve She put together a programme that I have found to be straightforward and easy to follow. The centre has all the equipment that I would expect and Iam enjoying my return to gym work.”
