“The upside of premier TEFL is the support before leaving, plus it is a good and easy way to find a job which is hard to do in a foreign country. The downside is that it is very expensive to apply for the internship, and the pay was very, very bad considering the high cost of living in Brazil, so unless you have a lot of money saved up it is difficult to travel during your work abroad. The other issue was the lack of communication between TEFL and the English school, since the school was very disorganized it caused a lot of issues. All that said, when I arrived I had a host family and a job from day 1, which would probably have taken me a month to set up on my own.”

We really appreciate your honest feedback about your experience 💙Internships are a great way to get into the TEFL world for first time teachers, typically shorter internship contract commitments mean that pay is lower as the trade off. We'll work harder to let people going to Brazil know that they need to budget more savings 💰to make life more comfortable.

“I've found the company extremely helpful when contacted, they provide support right up until you arrive in China. However the reason I am rating the company 3 stars is the pay - after enquiring about the approximate salary one should get paid here, I would not advise going through Premier TEFL. If you are the type of person that requires a safety net upon arrival in a strange country then by all means (they are a very organised company) however I slightly regret it.”

Hi Luke, thanks for your kind words about our team 💙it truly means a lot to everyone. For sure, single semester internships in China that are open to non degree holders have a low pay 💵compared to jobs available on the z visa. Having a degree 🎓is key to getting a great salary in China. As a first time teacher experience, the all-inclusive and supported internship is a winner for so many. I'm sorry to hear your regret at having chosen the internship route...but now you're on the TEFL adventure the 🌏is your oyster!

“I've recently finished the 120hr Advanced TEFL and the 30hr IELTS Preparation Qualification. I've found the information provided to be concise and informative. I've had to extend the course time due to work time constraints, and Premier TEFL have been very understanding and accommodating. If you want a an easy to follow course format, with great customer service backing you up during and after completion, then Premier TEFL is probably the ones you want to go with.”
