“In the wake of the Covid virus, it appears that many dealers have lost all proportion of ethics or sense. They have been out to make a fast profit without realising that some customers will not put up with it and cut them out of the market. Fortunately there a companies like Bearing who can be found with a bit of persistence - it was not easy as it took about half an hour. Even a return visit after a week was hard to navigate the seduction of e-bay where everyone without exception had thought of a vast price for the item I wanted, and arbitrarily assigned costs between postage (sometimes more than £40!) and the item itself. I was relieved to find that Bearing King, once found, used a sensible system for finding an item (once one had worked out the coding conventions), and charged fair postage rates. In spite of finding slightly cheaper V-belts, the prices for the stronger kevlar reinforced items seemed fair. Overall the cost including delivery was less that a fifth of what I first found from my web search for a replacement lawnmower drive belt. The strategy involves finding the exact physical dimensions and description of the replacement item for your mower, and then ignoring part numbers etc., and just specify the basic item when searching. You are unlikely to find a better deal, but prices are size dependent so there is no such thing as a best value supplier. Ordering was easy and delivery reliable though you must register to take advantage of the online ordering storage facilities, or if you don't want to use paypal..”

“Perfect Transaction - as usual. One problem was the choice of First Class Royal Mail for delivery. Because of the present situation, delivery took 15 days. However, the items arrived safely, if a bit late.”
