“Awful unresponsive customer service. Constantly ignoring my request for a cash refund and keep trying to give me wallet credit. No way to speak to anyone live, just a WhatsApp robot that never puts you through to anyone, and Twitter customer support that don't respond to messages either. Absolute con.”

“This company is a joke! Checkout Wowcher (aka LiningSocial) Fraud page on Facebook. So many unhappy customers. Interestingly I was never asked to review my purchase…..it was a blatant scam to get you upgrade and pay more money. Many have suggested they only ask customers that don’t complain to review their products but I can’t confirm that. Checkout the FB page and make your own mind up! They’re a joke!! I would give them no stars if I could!”

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are thieves. I had £42 in my Wowcher wallet and because I didn’t use it for 1 month they just removed it from my wallet. The customer services said sorry computer said no, it’s in the t&c that if you don’t use it you’ll loose it. THEIVES!”

“Thought I was buying a £9.99 hose which ended up costing 14.99 very difficult process to get hose asked for refund & got £4.99 so Wowcher basically got £10 for absolutely nothing will not be using again can’t remember it being so frustrating in the past ..😡”

“I purchased a Wowcher as a gift at Xmas. Nothing on the Wowcher that was sent to the recipient or on my confirmation about an expiry date. My daughter tried to use it today only to discover it has already expired. Not much time to use it when purchased on 16 December. She was in contact on WhatsApp about it and told nothing they can do and said they were ending the chat. So disappointed as that’s £111 down the drain. Tried WhatsApp myself but only got a Robot response. Surely the Wowcher gifts would have a longer shelf life, as it goes we got less than 5 months to use it.”

“Wowcher don't tell you that after you have ordered you have to then redeem the voucher and pay postage. I ordered plants which when I checked on the suppliers website were considerably cheaper. Complete con this company. So check prices around before you take up one of their so called bargains.”

“I ordered 2 paddle boards, I only received 1 of the 2 I ordered not to mention of the one I did receive the foot leash is missing. Also there's not a number to call and speak with anyone, still waiting on their reply through email...”

“Dec 2021 bought voucher for both parents Christmas as we do every year-called to ask for an extension as they had to be used before Feb...yes no problem as long as its before End April.. duly noted and adhered to- check out of hotel on the Sunday am - codes not longer valid , expired Feb , had to pay the full amount (after already paying for vouchers). trip cost me £700 for a 2 night stay - have tried all week to resolve this with Wowcher who now deny they said this - worst experience and a nightmare to get anyone to type any sense on Whats app **only way to communicate with them* - never again will i use Wowcher , worst and most expensive experience , BEWARE!”

“Further to my earlier review regarding refusal to pay my refund into my bank account, I am happy to say that within 48 hours of contacting Paypal, my money has been returned to its rightful place. Don't give up, contact the source of payment if you're havng problems. I will never use wowcher again.”

“Yes a real ‘daylight robbery’ company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Absolutely zero customer services. A complete con. No doubt they operate within the law, just… but never the less a scam. I wanted a product costing £69.00 and the wanted £29.00 postage and package. So I didn’t complete the order. THEY TOOK THE MONEY ANYWAY ! If that’s not fraud I don’t know what is - voucher or no voucher .”

“STAY AWAY , STAY CLEAR. This is a con, rip off. No chance of ever getting a refund. No refunds, no contact telephone number. A scam I purchased a item for £23.99 Next thing I know I was charged £23.99 again £4.99 VIP Wowcher customer £7.99 delivery Thats a grand total of £60.96 No customer service number No reply A whats app contact (automated) which then quotes you are VIP member and you will get a response with 24 hours.... Absolutely a disgrace and con. This is the worst site ever. STAY CLEAR OF WOWCHER. The site will bombard you with emails and spam messages. This is horrendous. Avoid these rip off merchants at all costs Everything. Overcharged, no customer service . Only through whatsapp. No telephone number. They whatsapp you and close the complaint before you can reply. They respond within 24 hours but will not wait or give you any time frame as to when they will message you. The worst ever company to deal with.”

“These guys don't even deserve 1 Star. I bought the wrong gaming computer for my son for Christmas and when I tried to get a refund they refused so I had to use on it on wowcher 'deals'. This £220 credit was put in my 'Wallet' but after a period of time they steal the money from you. What a horrible company! They are supposed to bring happiness into peoples live but they just create misery. Keep and eye on the clauses and what ever you do, don't buy the wrong thing!”

“I paid for another voucher when I thought I was redeeming the first voucher - I wanted it refunding to PayPal the source of payment but instead put as wowcher credit - wowcher took so long to deal with my query that it was past 14days when I chased it & response was it couldn’t be done as outside the 14 day period - so I had to spend another £269 credit that I couldn’t afford in order not to lose my money - will never use them again & will urge others not to either”

“Shocking customer service. Purchased a memory foam matress from this company they charged extra for delivery then refused to deliver. I am trying 3 weeks to get my refund. Instead I've been messed about. Screen shots of conversations edited by their agent. Waited 48 hours on a reply only for them to then ignore me again. I will never use them again.”

“If I could select -0 stars I would, this is a totally unprincipled company, they make it as difficult as possible to contact them, they have no intention of providing anything that resembles customer service. I purchased a brewery tour for my husband, there was no expiry date on the gift voucher, when he came to book on the 11th April we were informed the voucher had expired. After waiting in a WhatsApp queue for over 24 hrs I finally spoke to what I can only assume was robot, it told me the voucher expired on 9th April and I, as the buyer, should have made sure the voucher was used in time as they do not print the expiry date on the gift voucher. When I asked for contact details to make a complaint I was instead sent a message asking me how I would rate their service, sadly the word I would use to describe their service wasn't in the list!”

“up to 25% off airport lounges wow! Cost of lounge with voucher at Birmingham £26.55. Without voucher £29.50. So saving nowhere near 25% and when you take in the cost of the voucher £2.50 the net saving 45p. WOW!”
