Do not book mystery holiday!! Wowcher / Weekender Breaks believe their terms and conditions are above UK distance selling law. Customer service is awful and I have yet to receive contact from Weekender Breaks to redeem my holiday but after reading reviews this is standard practice for them. They will just pass you between companies and waste your time when the resolution is easy- a refund for a holiday I haven’t confirmed! Have contacted citizens advice and have now contacted the watchdog

Booked a meal and simulator experience with Trax Social in Manchester for my daughter. They booked the experience with the merchant before the expiry date on the wowcher only to find that when they arrived at the venue the place was shut with no explanation and they wouldn’t pick up the phone. Now Wowcher will not refund me. This happened to another couple too.

I have been scammed with 2 vouchers and I am no closer to getting a resolution. The company that they claim to be a trusted partner have stolen my money and are not able to offer me a service that I paid for and are refusing to refund me. The company, Weekender Breaks have got to be 1 of the worst that I have ever had the experience of dealing with and 2 months on from my purchase date, I am still chasing a refund and having to take time out constantly to chase them and Wowcher up. Both are basically blaming the other party and saying I need to take it up with them. Well after multiple whatsapp and emails over a 2 month period, I am no closer to getting my money back. I will be taking it further through the proper channels but I will think twice about ever using this company again.

I was misled into buying the mystery item from the tech bundle listing and showing pictures of all kinds of high end gadgets. I redeemed my voucher and got the option of a cheap travel bag or an electric blanket both of which could be bought for buttons on amazon. False advertising and money in the bin.

I booked a “5-star Barcelona City Break” through Wowcher, which was fulfilled by Travelolo, and the entire experience has been a nightmare. They don’t even follow their own terms and conditions, making it impossible for customers to get fair treatment. 1️⃣ False Advertising & Breach of T&Cs Their T&Cs state that for a two-night break, I should get a minimum of 40 hours at my destination. Instead, the flights they provided meant I’d have less than 30 hours in Barcelona, including travel and sleep! My outbound flight landed at 11:15 PM, and my return flight was at 6:10 AM, meaning I’d barely get a full day there. This is not a proper two-night break as advertised. 2️⃣ They Denied My 14-Day Refund Rights Their own T&Cs clearly state that I had a 14-day change of mind refund unless the holiday was booked. I requested a refund within 24 hours of purchasing because I saw issues with the flights, yet they refused—claiming they could only refund if there was no availability. Now, when I try to book, the original 5-star hotel isn’t available, and they’re forcing me to either downgrade my hotel or change my dates, which I can’t do because of work leave. 3️⃣ Horrible Customer Service & Unfair Practices • They ignored their own policies and made up excuses to avoid issuing a refund. • Travelolo didn’t even book my trip at the time I requested a refund, meaning they wouldn’t have lost money. • They kept changing their reasoning for denying my refund, making the process incredibly frustrating. I even escalated to PayPal, who disappointingly rejected my claim, but I will now pursue a chargeback and escalate to Trading Standards & Financial Ombudsman Service because this is pure misrepresentation. ⚠️ Do NOT book travel deals through Wowcher or Travelolo! Their deals seem great at first, but once you pay, they trap you in misleading policies and refuse to refund you even when you have clear rights. Spend your money elsewhere!

No response regarding returned item £245 refund - will have to escalate matters but advise u less it’s cheap and money you can afford to loose this is too risky a site

Thank you for your review. Please use the below, and this will guide you to complete the delivery; Wowcher sells vouchers that can be exchanged with the merchant for a product or service. Once the deal closes customers receive their Wowcher via email (your Wowchers can also be accessed in your Wowcher account under the “My Account” section). To use your Wowcher simply follow the steps below: 1. Log into your account (www.Wowcher.co.uk/login). 2. Click on "My Account" in the top right hand corner of the screen. 3. Once in your account you will see your purchased Wowcher(s). 4. Next to each Wowcher is a “View” button which can be used to open the Wowcher. 5. Specific redemption instructions are shown on each Wowcher under the heading HOW TO REDEEM. Please be aware the Wowcher code is case sensitive and needs to be entered exactly as it appears. 6. You need to redeem your Wowcher if you have not already done so and enter your delivery details to receive delivery of your order. You must do this before the expiry date printed on your Wowcher. Wowcher clearly do not care nor follow any kind of health and safety for the products they sell. Potentially dangerous goods that have been recalled due to fire at other retailers. Wowcher have NOT recalled these products leaving a potentially dangerous item in peoples homes. The heated airer in question has been on the news and in the papers for various retailers. Contacted CS who have been extremely unhelpful and since closed my ticket without actually responding to me or the issue in hand. It’s no wonder they’re cheap, if you worthy your life. Do not buy electrical goods via Wowcher. Since the above in Jan (2/3/25), I have had zero response from anyone at Wowcher regarding a potential fire hazard electrical item - despite been told I’d hear back from someone within 24 hours on 2/2/25.

Product I ordered took 2weeks to arrive and was not suitable. £8.00 spent in delivery and return charges and a further £7.00 plus to be aVIP which I did not want. Wasted money which I can ill afford. Impossible to contact anyone at customer service

New customer and unsure how the vouchers worked, paid £7.99 for a plant and by the time I realised I had not ordered from the actual supplier the voucher had expired. Contacted customer service to ask for some discretion as new customer, no good will shown, unable to speak to a person, just an AI bot just telling me voucher expired. Very poor customer service, unsubscribed and will be telling my networks to avoid this company.

DO NOT BUY £99 mystery holiday deal … I have no idea how this company have any good reviews when their is a Facebook with thousands of angry customers. DO NOT BUY THE MYSTERY £99 DEAL IT IS A CON!!!!! My daughter booked the deal and we knew we would have a supplement for Scottish airport however they are demanding £75 per person extra on top of the £99 for no changes what so ever apparently fees . When asked for a refund being ignored and passed to the third party company . Been fighting for weeks now and getting nowhere . Honestly not worth it at all, just go on sky scanner and booking.com you will get a better deal . We are now down £198 if we don’t pay another £150 for 2 nights in Poland an absolute joke. The Facebook page is Rip off Wowcher honestly so many people being ripped off by this company it’s unbelievable I can only assume they take down these reviews somehow as no way do they have so little negative ones on here when a Facebook page is dedicated to rip off sales and the page has thousands of people on it.

stly everyone getting scammed by Wowcher need to all start emailing Roland Bryan the CEO of Wowcher I can provide his email if anyone wants it as I can't put it on here for GDPR Regulations to make him sit up and listen about all the complaints that his team DO NOT SORT OUT and pass the buck after reading all the reviews on here and other platforms. I booked a 2 night break through Wowcher on Wednesday the 8th to Venice through their so called TRUSTED that's a laugh 3rd party travel agent called The Travel Makers whom I had to redeem the voucher with to get my travel information which straight away is a scam because in their small print it says once redeemed you have accepted their T&C's. But they came back with stupid flight times of 11am from Manchester to Paris with 4hr 30mins layover getting to Venice at 9pm total travel time of 10hrs, then returning 2 days later at 11.30am to Verona for a 5hr layover and getting back to Manchester at 11pm which is 12hrs travel time below are Wowchers and The Travel Makers terms that they should be adhering to. 1: Firstly no quibble money back guarantee within 14 days, but you have to redeem your voucher to get your travel information SCAM. 2: This does not impact the customer���s right to a change of mind refund within 14 days unless the holiday is booked. I changed my mind within 1hr after listening to the travel agents bullsh** and trying to upsell direct flights at another £127 per person and they just put the phone down and have since not replied to any emails and in a phone call said it was not their problem it rests with Wowcher to refund my money. 3: Minimum of 40 hours in your destination for any two-night break. Again out of a 2 day break with 40hrs minimum in Venice we would would be traveling 22hrs meaning resort stay of 26hrs SCAM 4: Once the booking is confirmed, the customer has then agreed to the holiday providers terms and conditions. I did not confirm anything with the travel agent after their SCAM to make more money from upselling more flights so should be entitled the a full refund no questions asked. 5: Please note, your holiday is not confirmed until you have been in contact with the holiday provider and received booking confirmation. AGAIN no booking confirmation as I told them they were trying to SCAM me out of more money. So it just leaves me to send an email to Roland Bryan and his team tomorrow stating if I don't get my refund promised within 48hrs, I will be reporting them to Trading Standards, ATOL, BBC Rogue Traders, BBC Fake Britain, and my bank for a chargeback if possible with my evidence and I will also be starting a claim through the small claims court and would love to see them in court.
