fridge door broken lights broken with bulbs hanging out of holder seating broken smell in caravan only noticible on sunny days decking poorly maintained with holes and screes protruding dirty lamp shades full of dead flies. Door won't stay ooen as catch broken. Bedroom door had to be forced shut as fitted incorrectly Fortunately we only stay in overnight. Why didn't we report the above issues.we shouldn't need to have them they are not minor issues and frankly we don't expect it. 26 years of staying in caravans and never has to report anything to this degree. Customer service is key to any buisness we will not return here.

The credit card charge was not made obvious during the booking process

We stayed at Twitchen House, the so called gold caravan we booked looked nothing like the pictures advertised on this website! We got a caravan which was filthy and stunk of mould and urine. I spent the best part of our first day cleaning, and a full can of air freshener did not take away the smell. I couldn't wait to get out of this caravan. Apparently the 2 berth caravans are not the true spec of the pictures advertised, the picture and description advertised is of 3 berth caravans, and the 2 berth we stayed in was a 2013. Totally false advertising, I was very disappointed! Shame really as the campsite itself was lovely. 😩

You advertise a price but you cant book at that price due to pet charge but that is not clear until the end, that should be advertised £30 more expensive as it cant be removed with no pet, i even rang to check

My daughter injured her foot on damaged tiles at the pool. There was no contact from any staff despite this being reported to staff who were aware that we had to take my daughter to hospital. The injury happened on the Tuesday and we were staying till Saturday and ruined the remainder of the holiday for my daughter who had a very deep cut of one toe and slived the tip off another. I complained to Debbie on the Tuesday evening who had a poor attitude, stating that accidents happen, which i agrre with however there were damaged tiles around the pool which were sharp. I didnt want to ruin the holiday further but on Yhursday we returned to the pool with our other 2 children to find the sharp tiles still there. I complained again and an assistant manager came out with aqua putty to smooth over the damaged tiles and stop other children receiving the same injury as the hospital told us there had been a number of other children recently with the same injury. The way the whole situation was handled was very disappointing and nit what i would expect from such a holiday park. Other than that we did have a good time, the weather was good, the caravan was nice and the children enjoyed the activities.

Brochure should explain the 15 min walk to the beach is through a field no proper path and that everywhere on site is up or down a hill

Camping block showers/toilets are always dirty , in the summer holidays they should keep a cleaner in the block all day instead of getting a cleaner that only changes loo rolls and washes the floor once or twice a day , with the amount of people using the block in summer holidays there should Def be a onsite cleaner

We upgraded our van to 3 bedroom. Girls pulled out in the due to work college commitments. The fridge is a little bigger than a beer fridge so for a family for a week wouldn't have been suitable. Also double bedroom mattress had had better days I ended sleeping in the other room. Awe had our 22 month old son with us and not a lot for him to do not even a baby swing on site. Went to kids disco and bar was way too expensive when paying a lot for a holiday park. We needed something more toddler friendly.

Poor pitch considering it was supposed to be a super pitch...really just a glorified car park. No locks on toilets. Toilet and showers floors were dirty.Showers mouldy, dirty, need knocking down.no wifi or phone service. Entertainment very loud...husband had to wear ear plugs. No seating available if you only turned up for adult entertainment as children were taking up spaces. Staff very slow to clear tables. No hand washing facilities for washing clothes. Elsan points are miles away and often overflowing. Cars were allowed to park anywhere so when leaving struggled to get caravan out. Apart from arcade and swimming everything else had to be paid for and was only for a short time and were extremely expensive. Have to pay money for everything..despite the cost of the pitches. Had a 15 year old grandson with us who only played air soccer once, bowling 2 times because of the cost and only had about half an hour play time! And to add insult to injury had no wifi that he could use..bought £5 worth and it never worked..waste of time. Not a economical holiday.....could gave gone abroad for the cost of this holiday.

On arrival pitch wasnt big enough for our tent never had this problem before on any sight. With road inches from the door which ended up a mud pit. Before putting up tent requested a different pitch but aling with ride manager was told they were full. 4 empty pitches all week in sight. Tents dangerously close together. Play park only suitable for i would say 3yrs plus. Not even a swing for a toddler. Showers need serious maintenance. However we did make the most of twitchen and woolacombe bay also using bus to the beach. This is a fantastic asset for everyone o think. Generally very run down needs tlc I think. And spacing out.

Twitchen House just is not well managed. There are plenty of staff but they need training & coaching by a good manager to give the service that we had paid for. We needed to allow 20 minutes to queue to order breakfast and then we'd need to queue the same time again just to get the filter coffee that comes with the breakfast by which time the breakfasts would have already been served to our table! During the daytime the kitchen service was fast and food was great. Bar was very slow. Take away was overpriced and slow in the evenings.

Very misleading booking process that asked if you want to upgrade with a picture of new wave accommodation & even saying new wave. but in reality you are just upgrading to a 3 bedroom instead of a 2 bedroom, as shown in the attached photo.

Our caravan was run down and needed repairing, Leaking tap, rotten floor etc. Food was lovely but very expensive. Evening entertainment for the kids was rubbish and my kids didnt want to go down at night because it was so bad. Great views and lovely area so will be back but not to the resort. Dog friendly but the walk down to the beach along the footpath requires having to lift the dog over some stone stiles, not good if you have a big dog.

CUSTOMER SERVICE - I booked this holiday in May and paid over £1000, we arrived at 2.30pm and was told our caravan wasn't ready till 3pm we were given the key and told we could enter when the cleaner was ready - we parked our car outside the caravan and went for food, only to return at 3pm to find another family in our caravan - who told us they weren't happy with their original caravan and was given ours as a replacement, we went to reception to sort this out - the only options we were given was to have their rejected caravan (which was by the main road to site, situated on a uneven slope to a 3ft drop to the car park, the caravan rocked every time we walked across it - with 5 yr old child this is not very safe, she stumbled a few times at the bottom of the steps) we paid for a Gold caravan and wanted what we paid for not someone else's cast off, with no-where to park as it was right by the supermarket (we were told that they could get a registration no. plate and phone to ask the car owner to move their car for us, to do this every time we go out in our car is ridiculous, and also bad service to the other car owner. This whole situation started our holiday off to a bad start, we had arrived at 2.30, but didn't get a caravan till 5.30pm and had a 5 year old and myself in tears. The only option we had was either accept the cast off caravan, pay an extra £400 for a upgrade or go to another site in Woolacombe - I'm not a complainer and was not trying to get a upgrade for nothing but I feel we were treated badly even though Woolacombe bay accepted responsibility for this mistake. In the end we had to stay in the cast off caravan for 2 nights before we were moved to another Gold, we should not have had to make this upheaval in the 1st place, but arrived to our new caravan to find we had no hot water in the shower (this was rectified quickly, but was another inconvenience to us) - we were given a meal voucher for 2 adults & 1 child, which I feel by no means made this situation right, only to find that when we tried to use it we were told the curry was off the menu (3 days running i might add) from returning to my table to get a substitute meal I was informed by the same barman that I had to re-queue again in order to replace my order. Woolacombe Bay can really work on their customer Service! The location and facilities are nice, however it is over crowded on evening entertainment, if you manage to get a table you often had other people hovering over you.

Paid £1300 for exclusive caravan. Although probably very nice 10 years ago the caravan smelt of wet dogs and damp. We did book £30 extra to take a dog but the site does not tell you they won't put you in sea view etc if you do :( The website shows lovely new modern caravans - this was not the case for D13. There were various problems over the first few days which the staff did attend too.

Easwell Farm, staff great and helpful, site just worn down, toilet/shower block just battered! toilet seats all broken, sinks cracked, taps which don't off. swimming pool although water clean, tiles had cracks, tiles looked dirty and old, not attended so children just did what ever they wanted. Children running wild on the site so noise until it went dark, children in and out of everywhere even in the pub! Staff never challenge the children as to what they are doing. guess parents like the site as they just loose the children for the holiday and dont care what they are up to. Visited the other sites and what a difference, all toilets, pools really clean, facilities great and although lots of children around it seemed much quieter, maybe thats because I did see security staff. why not invest in easwell farm to bring up to the standard of the other sites and also give the children more to do so they dont just roam around in packs!

Stayed in a silver lodge. Bed was like a brick and after reporting to reception they sent someone to change it or put a topper on mattress. We returned back that evening to find a spare quilt chucked onto the sofa, presuming this was the "topper" and I was to do it myself. It made no difference! Lodge was spacious and clean and most of park enjoyable. Felt that staff weren't very helpful at golden coast. Common areas very untidy and not clean (urine in changing rooms on floor). Was still not cleaned hours after reported it! Visited Twitchen house and felt the facilities and overall appearance was far better and fresh! Golden coast could do with a good tidy up and a few upgrades to improve standards. Overall we made the most of our stay and found the bus very good to travel down to beach and to and from other parks.
