“Great selection and customer service. Fantastic selection of drinks, especially the beers; nice to see dark ales, stouts and weissbiers including some I haven't seen elsewhere. Half my order wasn't delivered by courier but the customer service sorted the next day and reordered. Great service.”

“Their wines are excellent. Before ordering, I'd researched into de-alcoholised wines, because what supermarkets sell is undrinkable! But these wines are de-alcoholised using the very best method.) And delivery is double-quick. Many thanks.”

“Damaged in transit, no notification. Spent ages trying to track it down. Order for a surprise party, so no delivery was frustrating. Held no more of the items in stock so unable to reorder. Very disappointing”

Thank you for your feedback. I'm very sorry that your experience didn't meet expectations. Unfortunately, part of your order was damaged within the courier network before it could be delivered. Regrettably, we're not automatically notified when this happens and only became aware of the issue once we investigated the missing items. We completely understand your frustration, particularly as the wine was required for a specific occasion. Unfortunately, the damaged product was out of stock by the time the issue came to light, meaning we were unable to send a direct replacement. We therefore offered either an alternative Sauvignon Blanc replacement or a full refund for the missing bottles, and processed the refund immediately when requested. Whilst we appreciate this didn't help with the disruption to your plans, we are genuinely sorry for the disappointment caused and thank you for giving us the opportunity to resolve the issue.

“Ordered a mixture of bottles and cans. Have ordered before no problem but this order i was 2 bottles missing emailed them no reply wasn't a great deal of money but that's not the point.”

I completely appreciate that it's not about the value of the items, it's about receiving the full order you paid for. I've checked our customer service records and unfortunately I haven't been able to locate an email from you regarding the missing bottles. Had we been aware of the issue, we would have resolved it straight away. Unfortunately, couriers don't notify us when parcels are damaged in transit or when items go missing, so we're often only made aware of a problem when a customer contacts us directly. We're a small independent business and take great pride in looking after our customers. If there are missing, damaged or broken items, we will always arrange a replacement or appropriate refund. “Their non-alcoholic wines are really good - nothing like the horrible stuff that supermarkets (even Waitrose) sell. When I wanted to cut down my drinking (which had escalated with abusive ex), I desperately explored all avenues, and researched the different ways that non-alcoholic wine can be made. I suspect the supermarkets sell the easy-to-make, cheap sort. I buy Wise Bartenders' wines because the alcohol is extracted in a better (and more labour-intensive) way, therefore a bit more expensive - but it saved my bacon big time. Also, they deliver double-quick. Thank you.”

Hi Andy, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that the delivery experience fell below expectations. We did investigate this with the courier and, following our correspondence, the parcel was ultimately located at a neighbouring property less than a minute's walk from your address. Whilst I'm pleased it was found, I completely appreciate that it should have been delivered correctly in the first place. Unfortunately, courier services can vary depending on the local depot and driver, and we do occasionally see situations where parcels are left with nearby neighbours rather than delivered to the intended address. Whilst this is not ideal, we always raise these incidents directly with the courier when they are brought to our attention. Where a parcel has been delivered a significant distance from the delivery address, couriers will often attempt to recover and redeliver it. In this instance, the courier maintained that the parcel had been delivered locally. We understand how frustrating delivery issues can be and are sorry that this experience has left you disappointed.
