“The service was exceptional and I'd just taken a punt on whether I would like the goods on offer. I liked two and didn't like one other so that was a result. It's good to try things and maybe find a new friend.”

“My order never arrived and I wasn’t contacted to say there were any delays. After contacting wise bartender I was told the items I ordered were out of stock and I’ve no idea when I will be receiving my order. The order was for a family party and I’ve had to go elsewhere. Very disappointed”

Hi Emma, Firstly, we're very sorry for the disappointment and frustration caused. Having reviewed your order, I can see that it was dispatched promptly and handed to the courier as expected. Unfortunately, whilst out for delivery, the parcel was damaged within the courier's network and was subsequently marked by DX as cancelled/destroyed before it could reach you. As soon as we became aware of the issue, we created a replacement order. Unfortunately, we were then awaiting replenishment stock from the supplier before we could dispatch the replacement. We completely understand that this was frustrating, particularly as the wines were required for a family party, and we're genuinely sorry that the timing meant you chose to source them elsewhere. We always do our best to resolve issues quickly and in our customers' best interests. Unfortunately, once parcels leave our warehouse we aren't automatically notified when couriers damage, lose or destroy shipments, so we're often only made aware of a problem when a customer contacts us. We're sorry that on this occasion we haven't met your expectations and would still be happy to discuss whether you'd prefer the replacement order to remain open or for a refund to be arranged.

“After 8 days I still haven't received my order. DX Express said they tried to deliver it but I wasn't in, yet I'd stayed in all day. I have rearranged the delivery twice more each time they cancelled it on the day. Suggest you get a new delivery company”

Hi William, Thank you for your feedback, and firstly, we're very sorry for the frustration you've experienced. We were actually only made aware of the delivery issue when we received notification of your review. We always encourage customers to contact us directly if there is a problem with a delivery, as once a parcel leaves our warehouse it is in the hands of the courier and we aren't automatically notified when deliveries are delayed, repeatedly rebooked, or encounter issues. Having investigated your order, we can see that DX have repeatedly rearranged delivery without successfully completing it, despite several rebooking attempts. We completely understand how frustrating this must be, particularly when you've stayed home waiting for the delivery. As soon as we became aware of the issue, we contacted both the customer and DX to investigate and have now arranged a replacement order so that we can get the drinks delivered as quickly as possible. Whilst courier issues of this nature are thankfully rare, we appreciate that does little to help when you're the customer affected. As a small family business, we work hard to resolve problems quickly once we're made aware of them, and we're sorry that on this occasion your experience fell below the standard we aim to provide.

“Couldnt find this Hardy's Zero Chardonnay in any local major supermarket but Wise bartender came up trumps with this and provided 10 lovely bottles. Only gone alcohol free last month and been looking for a palatable wine that doesnt taste horrible compared with normal. This beauty fits the bill and tastes like 'normal' -thank you for choosing and stocking this Wise Bartender.”

“Great range, always new items coming in, up with the Zeitgeist of non-alcoholic drinks. Only criticism is that the constant launch of new varietals and brands is difficult to sample in smaller quantities because of delivery costs. I realise of course that there is no such thing in the real world as free delivery ( SOMEBODY pays) but my last order of 6 bottles to try out two new -to me anyway- beers meant effectively paying for 8 bottles as delivery charge was equivalent to two bottles. There must be a better solution, as I am sure it is costing you business because people know that your delivery charge means trying out new ones economically is difficult.”

“Excellent customer service following a let down by their courier. Updated as the details below stand but I have discovered that DX damaged and destroyed the package but the first WB knew was when they saw my review. Email sent amends made and replacement order issued with an agreed substitution as I had ordered the last 10 of an item. Fri 14th (late pm) email - order confirmed. Mon 17th email - order despatched. Sat 22nd - email seeking review. One thing missing - my delivery must be following the book "The long way round" I would wait in future to send these out till the order is delivered.”
