“I ordered a flashgun from the company and it arrived well packed and in good time. The product was in the clearance section, so I was able to purchase it at a good price. The only issue is that it was advertised as being 'new'. On its arrival, it was found that the stand and the instructions were both missing. Also, batteries were still loaded, which were almost exhausted. I contacted the company and received a reply. Basically, the item can be returned but a stand could not be provided nor the instructions but a link to download them was sent. I will keep the flashgun as it's one that suits my needs but I do feel that checks should have been made prior to dispatch and that I should have been informed. This unit may well have been used as a demonstrator but I was still very surprised not to receive a totally brand new item or at least a true description of it.”

Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and such a favourable one given that you have not received our best service. You are absolutely right, this should have been properly checked before the item was dispatched. Please be assured that whenever an item is listed online as a new item, it is because it should be a new item. We do usually list items which have been used for demonstration as "ex-display". Clearly in this case, the item has been listed as new in error or the team have not been made aware that the item had been on display in a store. I'm sorry that this wasn't spotted earlier and certainly before it was sent to you. I'm not sure of the exact reasons behind this item being incorrectly listed or being incomplete, but I suspect you are correct in your assumption that it has been used for display. I will look into how this has happened, so thank you for bringing it to our attention and for your understanding. I really am very sorry if it has caused any inconvenience and I hope that you will understand it is a one-off mistake and it was not our intention to mislead. I have arranged a partial refund which will allow you to buy a stand to make up for the one missing from the box and I have emailed you a link to a suitable option. “Many thanks for dispatching the pair of Hawke Nature Trek Compact 10x25 binoculars so efficiently. They arrived safely and are excellent. I appreciate the speedy attention and response to my order very much. The price was competitive, too, comparing other like models. However, I was unable to locate any document in the package which confirmed the sale of this item, nor could I find an Order Number. This has meant that I am unable to register my purchase with Hawke. I realise I might have overlooked something, but I would also appreciate it if you could send me a copy of the sale document so that I can indeed register the items to take advantage of the warranty offered by the manufacturers. Hi Chris, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We send digital VAT receipts upon dispatch, in the form of a PDF attachement. These come from the email stock@wilkinson and we also send order confirmations and dispatch emails via the website. These will come from sales@wilkinson - you may find that these have gone into your junk mail folder so it's worth checking here first. Good morning, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. The closest stores to you with disabled parking near to the shop would be Warrington (Golden Square Shopping Centre) or Preston (St. George’s Shopping Centre). Both of these are based within shopping centres with multi-story car parking attached with lots of disabled spaces and, if necessary, wheelchair friendly access throughout the centres.
