Good Afternoon Mr Thomas, Thank you for getting in touch, and I am sorry to hear about the experience you have had. I fully acknowledge that we let you down regarding the timeframe originally provided. While most special order items do arrive within the expected 5–7 working days, on this occasion your order took longer to reach us from OM Systems due to circumstances outside of our control. Regardless of the cause, we should have kept you updated throughout, and I sincerely apologise for that. Regarding the points raised in your review, once the item arrived with us it was processed, packed, and dispatched within the hour. As your order was sent via a next working day service, you should have received a dispatch notification the day before delivery, followed by a more accurate ETA on the morning of delivery. As you mentioned, we were not aware that you would be away at the time of delivery. Had we known, we could have arranged to delay dispatch until your return. You also noted that you checked the tracking information. As this service requires a signature, parcels cannot be left unattended. The tracking shows the item was signed for by a neighbour on the 21st of this month. Although no delivery photo is available, we would recommend checking with your neighbour to see whether they accepted the parcel on your behalf. Please let us know what you find, as we will of course raise an investigation with FedEx. We take these matters seriously and only ask that we are made aware so we can work towards a resolution. If your neighbour does not have the item and you choose to contact the police, we kindly ask that you provide us with the crime reference number so we can pass this to FedEx as part of their investigation. Given the above, I hope you may reconsider your decision not to shop with us again. We would appreciate the opportunity to resolve this matter for you as quickly as possible. “£100 cheaper than Wex for official UK stock and not much more than a grey import. I’ve claimed my 5 year warranty and have peace of mind. This is how things should be, we need companies like Wilkinson to reduce the insane gulf between official UK stock and grey imports. My only complaint would be DPD, it’s a real shame Wilkinson don’t have any branches in the south of England but maybe that’s the trick to keeping prices low??”

“It hurts me to write this, I ordered a used lens online, and as this was before 3pm I was expecting the delivery to be the following day. Unfortunately, was a delay and I was not informed. Hi Paul, Thank you for your review and for being such a loyal customer, we appreciate your continued support. We’re sorry that your order didn’t arrive the next day as expected. While we are successful with next‑day dispatch in the vast majority of cases, this particular item was a Pre owned lens located at one of our high‑street stores rather than our main warehouse. Your order was placed at 14:43, and the local DPD collection for that local post office was around 15:00. Collections from nearby post offices can take place any time between 15:00 and 17:00, which can make the turnaround extremely tight for store items. We pride ourselves on carrying a huge range of stock at our warehouse, where we have later, dedicated collection slot that allow us to meet our dispatch promises 99% of the time. Unfortunately, this was one of those rare occasions where the timing simply didn’t work in our favour. As you mentioned, we refunded your postage. We are always reviewing our processes, and while our cut‑off times may need re‑evaluation in the future, we also try to balance giving customers the best possible chance of receiving their order quickly while ensuring we don’t set unrealistic expectations for our store teams. On that tuesday I recieved an email stating that my order would be processed and to expect delivery within 3 to 4 working days.
