“In 2016 I gave up a 20 year teaching career to become a professional photographer, specialising in weddings. Its therefore about time, I paid homage to what I genuinely not only believe to be amongst the best camera shop on the planet, because of their values. IMHO, they do not attempt to sell you anything, they just serve you with honest integrity, and on more than a few occasions have pointed out a much cheaper option, or suggested an alternative always having my best interests at heart. This is why I would give 10 stars out of five if I could. Throughout this period I have gone into five of the stores, but mainly visit the Kendal store in person, followed by Carlisle. The main constants throughout this period has been the two branch managers, Nick and Joe, ably assisted by Kieron and Cameron. Yes, I could order online and even perhaps save myself a fraction of money, but what’s the point when you get the best advice, attention to detail and the first class service. You cannot put a price on that. That stated when I do compare prices, more often than not, you can’t buy cheaper anyway. What you are doing however is supporting a regional powerhouse in the photography world, and north-west photographers should be grateful that Wilkinson‘s exist. Keep doing what you are doing Wilkinsons, and delivering excellence as standard - David Rucker.”

“The order was delivered quickly, even though I took the free delivery option, and was well packaged. The price for the camera was the best I had seen, and it came with a 3-year warranty, rather than the standard 1 year, so I was very happy to buy from Wilkinson Cameras. I'd always prefer to support a "bricks and mortar" store - it's just a shame the store in my town closed a few years ago, so I couldn't purchase in person, as they were always very helpful”

“Refusal to reply to emails funny how they replied to the first few. then they send me this that I cant reply to. Do not ever use them and I will never use them again. matthew spain “Sent via DPD and left outside in full view of the street. Not there when I got home despite mutiple emails Wilkinson are refusing to reply. PIN should have been received and deliverd to actual person. Never will i use wilkinson again I will go to WEX from now on.” Reply by Wilkinson Cameras: "Good afternoon Matthew, We haven't received any emails from you since December 1st, where we did reply to you asking you to send over the footage from your CCTV camera. As we haven't had any email replies or phone calls from you in this time and we can see that the item was delivered by DPD at your location, we did assume that you had located the parcel - perhaps the CCTV pinpointing where the driver had taken it. If you don't believe this to be the case, then please can you give us a call to confirm which email address you are using? Thank you, Alex | Wilkinson Cameras"”

“This was a fabulous deal - a quality second hand item that was packaged with incredible care and even included a new power supply and mains cable. With the added 12 month warranty this adds up to one seriously cool (and very rare) retailer that I will most certainly use again. Very highly recommended!”

“I bought a Fuginon XF 16-55 mm f/2.8 R WR ii from Wilkinson's. It was a great deal, I dercutting the RRP by about £70, plus I got three years free warrantee cover. It was posted very promptly. The only issue I had was that the outer box was quite bashed when I received it, most likely caused in transit. DPD Local Delivery is not the same quality as DPD! Thankfully the box with the lens was well packaged within. I would buy from them again.”

“Recently bought the Nikon 50mm F1.8S. Got a good deal and 3 year warranty. Kendal Store were really helpful and being able to try a used lens helped my decision. I buy most of my photography equipment from Wilkinsons. Being able to go into a store and talk to someone is a much better experience. Aftersales support has aways been good.”
