“I ordered my Nikon Z5 online on a Wednesday and although i made a few mistakes orderding this camera the Customer Services with Wilkinson Camera were extremely helpful to me and eventually i ordered this camera with their help the very next day it was delivered by DPD which is excellent service for which i was very grateful and this was my first time ordering from Wilkinson Cameras and whenever i am looking for any product again they will be the first place i look for any future purchases.”

“Popped into the Chester branch on Saturday 30th May to look at options for an ecologist daughter's foreign field trip. Had previously narrowed it down to either a Lumix tz200 or fz1000ii and all the helpful discussions with the staff and hands-on looking at similar cameras enabled a choice to be made. They couldn't sell us either option there and then, but had new equivalents, but recommended watching the website. Just spotted and immediately bought a fz1000ii from the Wilkinson Cameras website. Many thanks to the Chester team for their help.”

“The second-hand camera I ordered arrived quite quickly, considering I live in a fairly remote part of the UK, where postal deliveries are usually a bit slower than in more central parts of the country. It was very well-packed, with all listed parts present and correct. The condition of this specific camera was advertised as D+ (i.e. "Good" but not "Very Good"), but I would be hard put to find anything to fault, as it seems to be in virtually mint condition. I have tried out the camera and it appears to work perfectly. It is just what I wanted, at a very reasonable price, and I am very pleased with it.”

“Visited Preston store last week for advice about a camera purchase. The staff there were very helpful and informative. Sadly they didn’t have the item I wanted in stock, or I would have purchased there and then. But I bought from Wilkinson’s online store once I got home. Excellent value for money for what I got - a good £100 cheaper than Amazon and about £200 cheaper than Canon’s direct offers.”

Good Afternoon, Your order was placed on the 22nd of May, at 18:24pm. Due to the bank holiday, we processed this order on Tuesday the 26th before 10am. The order left later that afternoon and was out for delivery the following day. The courier was unable to deliver due to nobody being available at the property. As I am sure you can understand, this is not our fault. You then requested for it to be redelivered on the 1st of June. I can see that your item was delivered yesterday at 11:03am. This item was signed for by yourself, and a correct pin code was given to the courier at the time of delivery. The courier would not be able to hand over the parcel without this pin. Good Afternoon Mr Thomas, Thank you for getting in touch, and I am sorry to hear about the experience you have had. I fully acknowledge that we let you down regarding the timeframe originally provided. While most special order items do arrive within the expected 5–7 working days, on this occasion your order took longer to reach us from OM Systems due to circumstances outside of our control. Regardless of the cause, we should have kept you updated throughout, and I sincerely apologise for that. Regarding the points raised in your review, once the item arrived with us it was processed, packed, and dispatched within the hour. As your order was sent via a next working day service, you should have received a dispatch notification the day before delivery, followed by a more accurate ETA on the morning of delivery. As you mentioned, we were not aware that you would be away at the time of delivery. Had we known, we could have arranged to delay dispatch until your return. You also noted that you checked the tracking information. As this service requires a signature, parcels cannot be left unattended. The tracking shows the item was signed for by a neighbour on the 21st of this month. Although no delivery photo is available, we would recommend checking with your neighbour to see whether they accepted the parcel on your behalf. Please let us know what you find, as we will of course raise an investigation with FedEx. We take these matters seriously and only ask that we are made aware so we can work towards a resolution. If your neighbour does not have the item and you choose to contact the police, we kindly ask that you provide us with the crime reference number so we can pass this to FedEx as part of their investigation. Given the above, I hope you may reconsider your decision not to shop with us again. We would appreciate the opportunity to resolve this matter for you as quickly as possible. “£100 cheaper than Wex for official UK stock and not much more than a grey import. I’ve claimed my 5 year warranty and have peace of mind. This is how things should be, we need companies like Wilkinson to reduce the insane gulf between official UK stock and grey imports. My only complaint would be DPD, it’s a real shame Wilkinson don’t have any branches in the south of England but maybe that’s the trick to keeping prices low??”
