“I required some extra Peak Design camera strap mounting anchor loops, after shopping around I found Wilkinson Cameras to be the best deal. This was mainly due to delivery and packaging cost. As an aside the price at Amazon was around twice the price. The delivery by 1st class Royal mail was better than predicted.”

“Ordered a printer which was shipped to me with a delivery label simply stuck on the actual printer box! Not even an attempt to wrap it with paper. In my opinion the printer in its box should have been placed inside another cardboard box with shock-absorbant material to combat handling errors by the courier. Schoolboy error, will not be ordering from Wilkinson Cameras again!”

Hi Steve, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The printers are packaged by the manufacturers suitably for onward shipping. When Canon/Epson pack these, they are done in such a way to withstand the rigours of shipping. We sell hundreds and hundreds of printers in a year and, as well as high value photographic equipment. We always ensure our parcels are packed in the very best way to arrive safely with our customers. We don't add add packaging in where it simply isn't necessary to do so. This helps to reduce our environmental impact (though we do use recycled materials wherever possible) and we've also found people prefer to have less packaging to dispose of when they receive a parcel as well. I can see you received your parcel several days ago now and we haven't heard from you, so I assume your printer arrived safely. “Good price but slow to dispatch (apparently due to delays with manufacturer, albeit in the UK), though disappointed with the lack of communication from Wilkinson. Told would take up to 3-4 weeks, but 4.5 weeks later I was left to chase them for an update. Called and was told would look into it and let me know, but then never called back or emailed. Got here eventually, but didn’t feel like customer service was adequate.”

Hi Stephen, I’m sorry there were delays with your Special Order item. Under normal circumstances these would arrive within the 5-7 days quoted on the website. However, the pandemic has caused huge global supply chain issues from materials shortages, manufacturing delays, right through to shipping container shortages which has severely impacted certain lines. Whilst Billingham bags are made in the UK, many of their raw materials and components will have been impacted for these reasons. We have very detailed order updates, so I can see that the team notified you of the delay within 5 minutes of your order being placed on September 24th advising a 3-4 week lead time and you called for an update just over 3 weeks later on October 18th. I can see your item was then dispatched on October 27th which is a little longer than initially stated. I can understand the frustration this may cause and I am sorry for any inconvenience. “Ordered a MANFROTTO 324RC2 LIGHT DUTY GRIP BALL HEAD, to replace an older video head. It'll be used mainly for a Viking spotting Scope and my Canon EOS 6D mkii and 400 f4 DO lens. The combination works perfectly for me as the head has plenty of grip to hold the kit in position any but not as bulky as the heavier head versions. Easy to order and fast delivery, so all good!”

“I went to the Chester shop and had great help in choosing the best camera for my needs. I purchased a camera bag on line and immediately realised that it was too big for my equipment. They offered to take it back - no quibbles. I will go to Chester again and look at the bags that they have ion store. I might be tempted to buy another lens.”

“Great service. I ordered a Billingham bag which was an excellent price. When the order confirmation came through it said it would be delivered by DPD. DPD always struggle to find my house so I called Wilkinson to see if there was another option. The person I spoke to was really helpful and changed the delivery company right away and the bag arrived the following day. Very impressed, it was the first time I've bought something from Wilkinson but off the back of that I would order from them/you again.”
