“I was considering getting a DSLR camera for years and read a few internet reviews recently of cameras and knew roughly how much they cost. Then I decided the best thing was to visit my local Wilkinson camera shop in Carlile and get some advice from people with knowledge. Although they didn't have a large rnge ofthe sort of camera I thought would be best they directed me to what was available in their chain of shops and found a perfect fit in a used and reconditioned Nikon D7000 that was half the price I expected. What's more , they were able to get it to me within 3 days before I left for a holiday AND they fitted me with extras needed on the spot. I am over the moon with my camera although I have barely started exploring its features. Within days I was confused about how to use one feature but a phone call to the shop got me instant practical advice which solved the problem. A few days later I tried to get a holster for the camera but nothing fitted the bill on the internet. I looked at the Wilkinson website and found the perfect holster and again at a good price. I posed a question on the website and it was answered the next day and the holster delivered within 2 days. An excellent and unbeatable service but so important to have both local hands-on services and practical on-line services. I will be forever in your debt.”

“I was looking for a replacement for my Sony Cybershot camera that had stopped working after several years of use. I looked at several alternatives online, but was still undecided after reading lots of reviews. One phone call to a very helpful chap at Wilkinson Cameras enabled me to choose exactly the right one for my needs. I needed a camera small enough to slip into a pocket, good zoom for taking wildlife photos, ideally good macro for taking insect photos and the ability to use on manual as well as auto. Living in a rural area, I miss so many great photo opportunities at times when I can't carry lots of kit with me, so having a small but versatile camera to hand is a must. The Panasonic TZ95 fitted the bill and was available as a bundle with case, memory card and mini tripod, which meant I got even better value for my money. It arrived the next day and, after patiently waiting for the battery to charge up, I took a few quick sample photos to check the camera was working ok. I was absolutely delighted with the ease of use of the camera and the quality of photos it produced. Although you can use it completely on auto, there are lots of different really useful settings so I'm going to make sure I spend time familiarising myself with the manual so that I can make the most of everything this little marvel can do.”
