“Excellent communication, excellent price, excellent product, excellent delivery & pick up. Can not fault product £155 for refurbished product with 18 months guarantee as opposed to £120 for one from a scrap yard with 2 months guarantee. Why would you go anywhere else.”

“Excellent product, fantastic service for both delivery & pick up of old unit. The price was superb, I was quoted £120 for an untested one from a scrap yard with 2 months guarantee, West Lancashire charged £155 for reconditioned with 18 months guarantee. No contest thanks for your help and assistance.”

“Part supplied was faulty. I was £75 out of pocket from having to pay the garage to fit this faulty alternator. The alternator was vibrating right through the car. Bearings were absolutely shot. Not even an apology from West Lancs Auto. Use at your own risk. You could end up even more out of pocket.”

Hi Rob With regard to your comments about the alternator we supplied that you claim had faulty bearings: Prior to shipment all our goods have to pass a stringent testing procedure and the BRAND NEW unit supplied to you was no exception. As you then returned the alternator with no paperwork enclosed, we had no way of addressing any issues you may have had until you later contacted us via e-mail. However all returned goods are retested and this BRAND NEW alternator, including the bearings could not be faulted. Contrary to what you experienced with your vehicle we are confident that the alternator was not the source of the problem. We did, however, refund the full purchase price as soon as possible once you made contact. Regards West Lancs

“Enquiry handled well and with good technical expertise. Delivery on time and return system for exchange worked well. Communication good. No experience of product reliability, only time will tell. Replacement unit installed and working fine, have no doubts it will last. Product alternator”

“It was a quick and easy process. Also the best price I came across. Apart from having to pay for delivery to IV30 despite the fact that if I lived a couple of miles east it would have been free like the rest of mainland UK. I do understand it is the couriers that set the rate, would be great if we could all try make this more fair. But yes, not the fault of the company so 10 out of 10 for service. Thanks”
