“Each class across school (Foundation 2 to Year 6) thoroughly enjoyed their Diwali dance workshop with the choreographer, who was engaging and made the sessions very enjoyable. It was a memorable day for everyone and the children have a deeper understanding of the Rama and Sita story. We found the teacher resources we received prior to the visit very beneficial too. “We had the Gunpowder Plot for our year 1 and 2 classes. Our facilitator was amazing with the children, she was engaging and covered many of our History objectives, she introduced and explained new vocabulary to them in an age-appropriate and fun way. The children had the best day with her and we would highly recommend!”

“Fantastic Diwali Dance Workshop, Maria was fabulous with the children, what a lovely way to tell the story of the Festival of Light. Maria kept the children engaged and the dance movements were age ability appropriate for all our years. The only thing we were expecting/would recommend the dance teacher be dressed up in the cultural clothing to make the experience more authentic.”

Sharon communicated with the children in a clear, upbeat and age-appropriate manner and the children were mesmerised, the choice of music was also very inspiring. “Each class really enjoyed learning the dance with Alex, he was engaging, supportive and changed the length and difficulty of the dance to suit each year group. He then supported each class to perform their dance to the rest of the school at the end of the day! This experience really supported the children's understanding of Rama and Sita and I know it will be something they remember about their time in school. Thank you!”

“Angela was absolutely amazing with the children - we couldn't believe it was her first day teaching the Diwali dance workshop! Everything ran smoothly and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, as did the staff! We would definitely love to have West End in Schools back to our school as it was such a super experience for the children. The way the story was told through the dance was so creative and the children responded so well to this. Thank you for such a great day full of fun and dancing!”

“Thank-you so much to Abby. The Nursery children really enjoyed the session. We likes the actions for the four main characters, in the story and we have been using them in our story telling. I would say that it would have been even better if visuals had been used for our EAL children. Puppets/pictures/props etc Thanks again”

“I was disappointed in our workshop. The guy delivering was good but i found that we could have delivered the same in school easily. In order to charge this amount, it needs to be something special in my opinion”
